ive never eaten in a soup kitchen but I'd be willing to bet the food and the service would be exponentially better! I am absolutely certain that no special care goes into the food prep or presentation. It didn't look appetizing and it didn't taste like anything special at all. The salsa looked and tasted like puréed tomato sauce...no onions, no jalapeños, no cilantro, no cumin, no nothing! My sisters nacho grande plate looked like a child's plate....again no onions, tomatoes, olives, cheese sauce, jalapeños, or anything that makes a chip a nacho! They even made the child's plate a complete disappointment. Not edible! I would only recommend this restaurant to the people who work there! Maybe...
Decent Tex-Mex. Fast service, food's always hot. Just good old fashioned Tex-Mex. Great spot for lunch. Ask for the stuffed pablano, it's much like Chile Relleno but milder. It's not on the menu for some reason. <br/ <br/ It's the same food, but this one rates higher than the Pineville location because they serve beer, which is an essential part of any Tex-Mex meal!
Great Value. Good, cheap Mexican food! Casual atmosphere. My parents love this place- SO much that the waitor knows their order! The Alexandria location offers beer/wine/etc. There is a Pineville location which is a hit with local college students. Great deal for the price!
Significantly improved! This restaurant has definitely raised its standards over the past couple of years. It was somewhat mediocre before, but now it's quite excellent. They seem to have really upped their game!

Traditional Mexican. That means it doesn 't taste like 'AmeriMexican '. The portions are sized for normal people, and it comes very simple and straight forward. Guacamole is good, if a bit salty.
Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Alexandria! My family enjoys dining here! The food is consistently served hot and fresh. Delicious!
I might have had better Mexican food before, but not at this price! I would definitely recommend it. The service was great as well.
Love this Resturant . It's clean the food is great and the workers are very sweet . My family eats there on a regular basis .

Best in Town. Best mexican food in town! The unlimited chips and home made salsa is tasty.
We eat here almost every Sunday. Good food, good service, good value.
