The Praza Maior is a prize location and there are several restaurants arranged along one side. My impression of two of them is that the location is not matched by service or quality. We found the service very indifferent and slow. We had assumed that wine was included in the 15 Euros (not an unreasonable price) but we were specifically asked if we wanted Castineira to wich we agreed only to find out later that three glasses had cost 8.70 Euros. I am sure that restaurants of better quality and value are to be found in other parts of this amazing walled town.
Buen sitio para comer! Cada verano volvemos a comer en este restaurante. El local es muy agradable, y sus camareros muy correctos y atentos. La comida, muy bien guisada y siempre bien preparada. Es verdad que no son rápidos en el servicio, pero cualquiera que guise en casa, sabe que si quieres dar un buen producto y , en lo posible, recién hecho, lleva unos minutos. En cuanto al precio muy equilibrado calidad/precio. El café, mejor si te toca el camarero de las mañanas....
Lovely location in the Plaza Major. Very busy terrace and only one waiter! Had to wait a while as the waiter was occupied serving others and clearing tables. But he came to us as soon as possible. Once we had is attention he was helpful and obliging. We had a pre-dinner drink followed by menu del dia (served all day/night) which was great value. Worth the wait so just chill.
No entiendo todas las críticas negativas. Tuve una experiencia muy agradable. No tenía prisa, así que no me importa que el camarero tardara un poco en tomar mi pedido, pero él era el único que trabajaba y estaba muy ocupado. Tomé una copa de vino, un pincho de croquetas y dos churros con chocolate por menos de 7€. La terraza es un lugar encantador para sentarse y relajarse.

We just visited the heladeria here the ice cream bar. It was all delicious and then we sat on their terrace to eat them. The flavours on offer: Coffee, walnut, Cookies and cream, stracciatella, strawberry, istachio, banana, lemon sorbet, chocolate, forest fruit yogurt and strawberry cheesecake. I had a scoop of coffee and a scoop of walnut together which was amazing!
La comida calidad precio genial , pero el personal de exteriores penoso, 2 atendiendo y no dan echo porque no paran de dar vueltas y charlar entre ellos , menos atender mesas ,ven como les pasa las horas de jornada
Comimos el menú del día y salimos muy satisfechos. Pedimos de primeros lasaña y la tosta de salmón ahumado y queso, de segundo solomillo y entrecot y de postre helado y arroz con leche. Si surgiera, volveríamos.
Agradable ambiente. asientos cómodos y servicio cordial. Muy buenos churros. 0jo extranjeros el chocolate aquí es muy espeso. pidan leche.

Comida de calidad. Camareros muy profesionales y atentos, sin duda repetiremos y lo recomendaremos a los amigos.
Excelente atención. Café riquísimo y ofrecen sin cargo una variada selección de pinchos y bizcochos.
