First off the service was terrible absolutely terrible. I guess our table didn't order enough for the waiter to care to come and check on us. He forgot to bring us many items that we requested. The food, don't be fooled by the pics, well the food isleft to be desired. Chicken parm tasted old it was cold. Lasagna was cold in the middle, leads me to believe that it ismicrowaved. The spaghetti bolognese was okay but again cold... the Caesar salad was standard pretty good... when visitingNewport Beach there are way better Italian food places to go to , in particular Mama D's kills it over this place... if you wantoverpriced microwaved Italian food this place is for you otherwise skip it.... ????...

I'm honestly surprised by the positive reviews. On a positive note, the location is excellent—right on the harbor with a spacious layout, so tables aren't cramped. However, the drink menu is just average, and the wine selection by the glass is nothing special either. The food was disappointing, and the menu felt quite dull. There are hardly any vegan options, and the vegetarian choices are also lacking. I ordered a marinara dish that tasted suspiciously similar to the soup. To the owners: this is Newport—please raise your standards! We would happily pay for food that is genuinely good or at least a more interesting menu. If you improve, we might come back regularly.

We had an incredible evening—the food was truly fantastic, but what made it even better was our server, Edward, who outperformed all our previous local dining experiences, possibly even those from other places. We never felt rushed between courses, and Edward was extremely helpful with the menu. He expertly opened a bottle of 1995 vintage wine for us. Thanks to Edward (and the amazing food), we can’t wait to return! It’s rare to find someone as professional and engaging as he was on a busy Saturday night at such a popular restaurant.

Thanksgiving Day so we did expect things to be a bit “off”. As it was, we had a lovely meal with very nice service. Unfortunately the woman at the next table took it upon herself to get up and approach our table (probably all of the alcohol she drank). She began to berate me for my opinion on the killing of wild animals. Told her it was none of her business but had a tough time getting her to leave. Not fun at all. Perhaps the waiter could have done something. Kinda put a damper on our fun time. Réservez une table maintenant

We recently held a family gathering at this restaurant, and I must say, the staff did an outstanding job taking care of us. The food was excellent as well. Despite the chilly evening air, the heaters kept the room comfortable without just blasting the guests sitting directly underneath them. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I'm really glad my cousin chose this venue!

Just my dad and I for Thanksgiving dinner. Every thing was perfect. Service, food, setting couldn’t have been better. My biggest concern is usually loudness, when you can’t hold a normal conversation it really gets hard for us but it was no issue at all here. We will definitely be coming back for regular dining.

Best of the best restaurant in Newport Beach. Ask for the Chef Cesar, the best chef in all California! Everything is delicious! Highly highly addictive and recommended.

Had a **** lovely dinner at Louie's. Drinks in the bar were excellent as was the food and service. Would head straight back next time I am nearby. Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent food especially the charcuterie board. Highly recommend the trio of prosciutto, salami and Parmesan gelato
