So we were trolling the harbor in Oslo trying to find a place that wasn't too touristy. We picked this place, and got seated outside with a good view of the harbor. I was on a quest for good, local craft brew pubs, this place was not one of them. The menu was a little more upscale and focused on seafood. When in oslo, eat like a norwegian, and I did. Well sadly since the last review was 3/2/2020 I must now break the bad news. The service is the worst. We had a 7:15pm reservation place our order about 7:30pm and sat, and sat we didn't even receive our appetizers and it was 8:35pm. After saying something to we think the Manager he brought us out truffle fries and an apology for us 3 grown ups, two men and a lady. Well it's now 8:40pm and I just got my oysters. So to make matters worse my dinner partners get there food at 8:50pm I don't get my food then I'm told I'm not getting my food for at least another 6 minutes that's a whole fishing excursion later. At the 2 hour mark I finally received my lobster and I had to find it on the plate. Bo...
Good food meh on service! Great location waterfront shopping district of Aker Brygge. Ive been told if you 're in Norway you have to have seafood. We saw Louise 's menu and it looked appealing and also reasonable in a very expensive city. We sat on the patio, great for people watching. We ordered a tasted of Norway to start and bread. We waited 30 minutes to be brought to our table, I think they forgot, because the table beside us were sat 15 minutes after us and they were eating and drinking already. The food itself was good. For our mains we ordered frites and mussels and halibut again quality of food was great, but we gave up on the service. Too bad this place could have been great.
Le service était excellent ici, rapide et efficace. Nous avons été immédiatement installés à l'intérieur, sans vue sur le port. Si vous souhaitez une vue, attendez-vous à avoir une vue depuis la terrasse sur le port, ça vaut vraiment le coup pendant votre repas. Nous avions assez marché autour du port, donc ne pas le voir pendant une heure ou deux ne nous dérangeait pas. C'est un restaurant plus chic et huppé situé dans une zone touristique, les prix sont un peu plus élevés, mais ça en vaut la peine. Nous avons pris du vin. Great view in a nice place. Got a seat very quickly. The waiter was very polite. I enjoyed the scallop ceviche and cod loin. Both were good. But to be honest, the scallops were truly amazing. I wish they could make that as a main course. The flavors of the lime, avocados, sesame seeds, and some wasabi was so exciting. The gin and grapefruit drink I had was a bit strong, but I had to just deal with it . The white wine made me feel better. Great ace for either a girls night out, dinner date, or even a it 's just me date night.
Friendly service, great view of the harbor, delicious food but perhaps slightly overpriced due to being in a touristy area. But if you're going to be tourist trapped, it might as well be this delicious! I had the Taste of Norway appetizer platter, the herbed cheese and the scallop were particularly delicious! The mussels were also good, but about what you would get anywhere. Overall a nice experience.
La vie nocturne à Oslo, je crois que c'est l'un des meilleurs endroits, je ne vais pas mentir, même si la sécurité est un peu stricte. Mais le DJ faisait son truc, tous les barman étaient sympas et polis. L'atmosphère était super détendue, les gens dansaient et profitaient de la nuit. Mais il faut absolument revenir pendant la journée et essayer quelques plats de leur menu la prochaine fois.
There are many fantastic restaurants in the Oslo area. This is another one especially on a beautiful day to eat outside. Good service and a great seafood soup followed by Moulin Frites. Both were off the starter menu and both are available as entrees in of course larger versions. These two off the starter filled me up. Réservez une table maintenant
Nous voulions trouver un nouvel endroit pour déjeuner à Oslo. Les recommandations étaient positives pour cet endroit. Malgré le nombre de tables vides, on nous a dit que c'était uniquement sur réservation. Nous avons donc continué à chercher un autre café dans le quartier.
