"Steak was perfectly cooked as I wanted but be careful, medium can be quite **** for the bigger steaks. Quality was very good for the money and the wine was excellent. Very impressed and excellent value for money especially for St Moritz :)"

The restaurant Luca's Churrascaria was recommended to us by a young lady in the Tourism Office during our stay in St. Moritz. I personally went there to reserve a table for Saturday, Jan. 28, on the same day, but they did not have anything available on such short notice.I therefore reserved for Monday, January 30, 2012, which was duly noted before me, though not in the reservation book, but rather on a small piece of paper. Whan we arrived in the evening, there was no record of our reservation, but we were given a table all the same. The restaurant is mainly a meat restaurant in the Argentinian fashion. We ordered a tomato soup for my grandson and three portions of grilled meat. Not only was the service extremely slow, the "tomato soup" bore no resemblance to a normal soup, all three portions of meat were grilled wrong, were absolutely tasteless, and the service was extremely bad. When I commented about the bad service to some people at the next table, I was impertinently critıcised by the waitress to the extent that I had no right to do so .The only right thing was the bottle of wine, with which they had nothing to do.We regularly spend our skiing holidays in St. Moritz, but I certainly shall not go to this restaurant again, IF it is still there next year, and would recommend fellow travellers to give this address a wide berth.

We loved when Luca had the "Churasqueria" at the Post Hotel in St. Moritz until last year. We heard from my fellow St. Moritz residents, good things about his new restaurant moving to order to conserve affordable prices.I was with a former president of the Cresta Run and we had one of the worst welcome from a fat young lady on Thursday 23 of July 2013 . She was rude, aggressive and was upset because I was speaking to her in English, Italian and French! She was not only rude to me but also to the female companion of my friend who was offered the worst table when the table close to the window was free. We decided (4 people) to go to another restaurant (Diamond) as we do not like to be abused by unprofessional "bunzli" receptionist, specially in St. Moritz "the top of the world".Its a shame as Luca was provided good food before, but his choice of low class manager /receptionist/director (?) unfortunately and for the moment force me to tell the readers to avoid this restaurant with the notable exception of the masochists. With such an "acceuil " I understand why this restaurant is ranked at the low end in the St. Moritz classification.

We stopped in for a drink at the bar before dinner and enjoyed ourselves. Although this was in the off season, there were several tourists eating dinner and a few locals at the bar. The place had a cozy interior and friendly staff. At one time, the chef/owner came out and spoke to each table. The offerings of wine by the glass were limited, but the Argentinian was good. The food looked good as well, but was predominantly oriented towards Argentinean steak. It might not be a large gourmet place, but it was cozy and friendly for a drink.
