I recently ordered lunch from this restaurant, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The food was quite impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. It was flavorful and satisfying, making it the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, receiving a disappointing 1 out of 5. My order was delayed, and the staff seemed indifferent. The atmosphere also fell short, with a rating of 2 out of 5; it felt lacking in charm and comfort. While I enjoyed the meal, the poor service and uninspired environment made it less enjoyable than it could have...
I ordered the Chicken Empanadas (Pollo) and the Cheese Empanadas (Queso), and they were fantastic—still hot and crispy when they arrived. The Res Guisada (Beef Stew) was served in a generous portion and was also delicious. The Sancocho (Spanish Soup) was packed with various meats and vegetables, and the broth was flavorful; it came with a side of white rice. The only downside was the Ceviche, which had tough meat, as if it had been left in the marinade for too long. I'm glad I only got the small size of that. Overall, the food was excellent!

My husband and I have ordered from this restaurant several times. Recently, we tried the mangu with salami and fried cheese. The cheese was sliced so thin that it was almost transparent. Unfortunately, the mangu had a strong vinegar flavor, which was quite unpleasant. Overall, we were disappointed.
The pork chops tasted like fish, and I nearly gagged when I took a bite. The rice and beans were decent, but I was really disappointed with the Chuletas Fritas (fried pork chops). I'm usually a fan of the sancocho here, so I was taken aback by how bad the pork chops were.

The food and service at this restaurant are fantastic, and the portions are generous. I dined in for lunch, and my meal cost between $10 and $20. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well.

I had my first experience at Lucas and the food was fantastic. The chicharrón was the best I've had in a long time. The rice and beans were also very flavorful. This will definitely be my new go-to spot!
