I can live with paying extra for Southgate restaurants, but Ludlow tried hard to mess up my family Christmas. I had very specifically booked a low seated table for my parents who are elderly, and they confirmed over the phone. We arrived and were asked to sit on 2 separate high tables. They moved some tables inside to fix that, but the drinks and orders were so slow, a few drinks didn’t come, half the entrees came after the mains… thanks to the nice young waitress who tried really hard but had no help.
The ambiance of the dining room/bar was welcoming. The staff were attentive and friendly The food was excellent and we especially appreciated the numerous drink choices that were available on the luncheon specials . We certainly will go back again.
Had to get the attention of staff even though it was a quiet Mon evening. Menu wasn't updated as the deal said spirits were included. Wasn't told about the surcharge until payment. also had. A tummy upset after the meal
Delicious food, great and fast service. I have back issues and they were kind to change our reserved table to a different table with more comfortable chairs. Thank you! We’ll be back again!

Kofta and the side chips very good, hot, tasty and good size. Fish and chips disappointed, ling ok but very heavy coating bread crumbs disappointed. Area very breezy and music too loud.
eating and drinks here are good and the views of southbank and melbourne are great, but they always have the music a little too loud so that they can talk and be heard.
Really cold day sitting outside with no heater. Minimal menu options at inflated prices. For the money we paid the quality isn’t there. Won’t return any time soon.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere free and relaxed with the marvelous view of the Yarra River. The food was just to my taste and the service was excellent.

The food was excellent at Ludlow recommend the dips beforehand! Steak was cooked well, chicken parmagaina was good with a healthy level of slaw.
Had a fabulous night catching up with friends at Ludlows. Great atmosphere, excellent service and decent sized servings of delicious food.
