This somewhat remote but cozy alpine pub is located above Alpnachstad at the end of a tarred mountain road near Grunderberg. When the weather is sunny, visitors enjoy spending time on the terrace with a beautiful view and a simple menu. The power supply with its own hydroelectric power plant is also interesting, I would like to come back here.
I was here thanks to a wedding invitation. There is a beautiful, small chapel a little next to the restaurant. The subsequent aperitif was on the terrace of the restaurant. The physical well-being was excellently taken care of there; no one was hungry or thirsty. The restaurant is cozy and rustic. The view is also impressive.
We've often visited Lütholdsmatt and stayed overnight. Always received a very friendly welcome. Ideal for a stopover on the way to Pilatus or to Güpfi for lunch. Overnight accommodations are quaint and very fair in price. Always my pleasure.

Cozy, mountain pub. Great view and fine Schwinger Rösti. Alpine cheese to buy. Come here again.
A great place to stop to get a cold beer or Rivella when you're descending from the mountains.
