Luigi's is a popular place, so don't expect a quiet meal, but do expect great food and drinks. There is usually a wait, short wait for groups 2-4, longer for over 4. You can wait for a table out on the patio, although space can be at a premium out there too. There are fans and misters that make eating al fresco comfortable even on a very hot Bakersfield summer day. Back to the drinks, alcoholic refreshments can be strong but still provide the right balance of flavors. The food is always good, I allow my diet to splurge with Luigi's pasta dishes on my visits. Luigi's is my favorite place for so many reasons. The food is authentic and of the best quality. The servers feel like they're hosting you rather than waiting on you. The wine selection has a perfect pairing for whatever you're going to have. The deli is amazing with imported cheeses and meats that equal what I've had in Italy. It's always a pleasure to be greeted by the Valpredo family they make each and everyone of us feel special. So much fun to peek into the kitchen and see what's cooking. We're excited to taste all of the gelato Gino is creating. My grandchildren from Colorado can't wait to go to the Luigis each time they're in town.
This is a place that doesn't care about your opinion. Because they don't need too. Service; blunt but excellent. Atmosphere; chaotic bur welcoming. Price; way to low for the quality. Food; some of the best I've ever had. I would be shocked if there wasn't some old Italian in the kitchen yelling at everybody, but also being a favorite. All the employees seemed happy to be there. I hope this place continues to thrive for many years to come
We decided to visit this restaurant on a whim for dinner, and we're so glad we did. Our server, Jessica, was a delight—her energy and personality truly enhanced our experience. We tried the hanger steak special and the pork chop, both of which were packed with amazing flavors and well worth the price. We can’t wait to return and try some other dishes. It’s a perfect spot for a date night or a family outing. Be sure to ask for Jessica!

Last night, I attended an awards event for Kern County teachers called the CTA Who Awards (We Honor Ours!). The food and service were excellent, with perfectly grilled medium rare steak. They also offered pasta with a savory sausage marinara sauce, as well as a choice of grilled chicken breast. There was only one coed restroom inside the warehouse, but the fantastic outdoor portable restrooms made up for it!
Despite the bustling lunch crowd on a Friday, our party of three was seated promptly. The waitress was attentive, polite, and well-informed. Our meals were outstanding; we each ordered a different pasta dish, and the portions were generous. A lunch for three, including dessert, was quite affordable, and I highly recommend dining here.
What else can be said that hasn't already been said? Luigi's is a true gem in Bakersfield! Today, I had the prime rib sandwich, and it was incredible! The service is consistently excellent and always on point. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant in our beloved town. Thank you, Luigi's!
This restaurant is a beloved staple in Bakersfield. The food is consistently delicious, and I really enjoy the patio. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The ravioli and steaks are particularly outstanding. Be prepared for a wait, though, so it's best to arrive early.

This is a fantastic spot for socializing! The prosciutto appetizer is a must-try. It's perfect for gatherings with family and friends, and the service is excellent. The Italian main dishes are good, but I believe there’s room for improvement there.
Worth the wait for their freshly made delicious pasta. Excellent food service.
