My daughter had the homemade pasta special with mushrooms, truffle oil and ricotta, she ate every last bite. My son is a picky eater and the waiter was so accommodating in offering anything else he would like so he was so happy with the veal valdestano. My husband and I split a few plates, ourselves, because it was so hard to decide on just one. We got the burrata and grilled octopus to start and it didn’t end there. There are so many Italian restaurants in this area, I was hopeful Luka’s would join our rotation of neighborhood places we will frequent. Unfortunately the entire dining experience was a complete miss. The food was priced reasonably, however pasta, veal and fish dishes were tasteless. Beans in the soup completely undercooked, and the vegetables frozen and bland. Calamari in the pasta was inedible, and the pasta was over cooked. Side of broccoli rabe was never brought. And did I mention I had to ask 5 times for water refill. For $26 shrimp scampi had 4 medium size shrimps and veal Marsala 2 very small thin cutlets. We came for a party a few weeks ago and decided to come back for dinner. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in, such a warm welcoming. The menu had so many great options, it was hard to decide; being Italian I wanted everything. The food was amazing! Ate everything but the plate. The service was wonderful. Our server treated us like family, we felt at home. I look forward to returning. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Lukas for an amazing overall experience!! Highly recommended!! Our experience at Luka's is a Home Run every time. Fabulous meal, fantastic service and amazing ambiance. I used to go to this location years ago when it was Ernesto's, and that restaurant was only so-so. However, this new restaurant, Luka’s, has quickly become my favorite in White Plains. Great atmosphere to go along with the superb cuisine. Its not over-priced either. To make things perfect, there's a free parking lot just a few doors down from the restaurant. We will definitely keep coming back.

The bread was subpar, and the salad was just average. The appetizers were decent but not memorable. However, the service was excellent, especially since we were the last two diners in the restaurant. I probably won’t return.
I was very disappointed with my experience. The mussels were fishy, so I had to send them back. The chicken scapariello lacked flavor and didn’t have any white meat. The profiterole dessert clearly came from the freezer.
