We have been dining at this Thai restaurant for 10 years and it is the best! The food is always delicious, authentic, high quality, and full of fabulous flavors. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, even during busy times. Our kids, ages 7 and 9, enjoy trying different dishes and it is a great experience for them. It is convenient to be able to bring our own wine and we can usually secure a last-minute reservation, like we did for Valentine's Day. They also offer great takeout options. We will definitely be returning soon.
My previous review from last night did not appear for some reason ? Curious ? Simply, substandard Thai. Mostly bland, uninteresting, and after spending an entire evening with upset stomachs afterwards I can't recommend at all. It's probably the worst Thai we have had. Duck curry with 11 pieces of SKIN ? Not meat chewy beef, overdone prawns, etc etc...a great disappointment. I always wondered why they were mostly empty, and close early too, now I understand why. Total waste of money. Avoid.
Luk's is hands down the best Thai restaurant I have tried in all of Australia. I have visited 5-6 other Thai places in Melbourne and other locations, but Luk's is consistently the top choice. The food is always excellent, especially the coconut rice which is the best I've ever had. The takeout service is quick and the staff are friendly. If you're looking for a great atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want delicious Thai cuisine, Luk's is the place to go!
Just 3' walk from my house, the inside was never fulled that i thought their foods were not interested enough. But i was wrong, foods are much much tastier and fresher comparing to Paradai Thai in Carnegie. A thumb up for lazy days and just wanna have a short walk to dine instead driving far away.

We ordered a pad Thai, Pad Se-iew and a pork stir fry takeaway. The food was ready for us when we arrived and was great value. We really enjoyed the food, very tasty and plenty of it. I can't comment on the service as we didn't sit in but as a takeaway, we were happy with our experience.
Quality dining. We have been dining in and at times do the odd take away and we are never disappointed! the staff are friendly and always keep your glass topped up. The food is fresh and very tasty, we always leave with a full stomach. Try it you won't be disapppointed
Well-executed Thai food with a good range of standard dishes. Pad Thai excellent. Service was a bit slow the night we ordered, but we were early birds, so may have taken a little while to get things prepared. Update: Luk's Thai now closed.

Not bad for a local Thai restaurant! Nice food and friendly staff. Overall the food is a bit too sweet for my liking and wasn't spicy enough.
Delicious, authentic Thai food at affordable prices. I especially enjoy their Roti.
