A great spot in the 'diner ' tradition (open 0900 1400 Mon. Fri. We two had breakfast on a Tues. At 10:30. We were the only customers just then! The diner is in a commercial area and caters to the lunch trade. One of us had the standard sausage, eggs (3 , home fries, toast, and coffee. The other had the farmers 3 egg omelette (home fries and bacon in it with toast and coffee. The food and service were great, with large portions. The coffee was good. More people came in as lunchtime approached. We did chat with the owner a bit who previously cooked at a well known local German restaurant (now sadly closed . It shows since schnitzel and goulash are also on the menu! Note: The restaurant only a...

I found Lunchbox Diner by looking for restaurants on Google Maps near where I was. I seriously lucked out today finding this place. This is an old school diner with an old school vibe. Reasonably priced, good portions, and the usual standards you'd expect from a diner, done well. (along with wiener schnitzel, who'd have thought? Wonder if these folks are associated with Haus Falkenstein just a hop and a skip away? Service was friendly and quick when I was there. I had the wiener schnitzel and was not disappointed. Anyway. If you're in the mood for good comfort food, don't hesitate to come here. They do eat-in or take-out, and accept cash or debit (no credit cards .

We heard about this diner through friends and we were not disappointed! I had the bacon cheeseburger without the fries as I had heard the portions are large. It was so delicious! Hubby had the fish and chips which was very tasty. I have heard that the Schnitzel is also very good so we will be back to try it. This diner is located in a very industrial area and I think because of that they are only open for breakfast and lunch.

Had a late lunch on Monday, Feb 5, 2024. Excellent Tomato Noodle soup and a packed ham sandwich. I tried a piece of my wife's chicken, wow, impressive. Not a big place, very nice service, good cook, rustic decor. Bring a big appetite! Réservez une table maintenant

Chunky homemade soup and generous sandwich for 9.50. The Reuben was the thickest I've ever had. Also 9.50 plus $2 for fries. Retro diner feel. We escaped here from the Science Center around the corner for the better value and quiet.

Had the special, Borscht, Perogies, Sausage; it was great, good portions and reasonably priced. This is not fine dining, it is an old fashion diner, I seek out these out of the way places and was not disappointed with this stop.

I remember places like this when I was a kid, customers that know each other and the staff, and good simple food.
