I don't often write restaurant reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience after visiting this place based on a recommendation from a local Facebook group. It was undoubtedly the best meal we've had in years! The focaccia bread, freshly made on-site, was warm and absolutely delightful. The fig, gorgonzola, and prosciutto appetizer was fantastic. We were even treated to a complimentary artichoke appetizer that simply melted in our mouths. The main courses were outstanding; the homemade squid ink pasta with lobster in a light cream sauce was especially delicious.
I finally had the opportunity to visit Lupa, and I couldn't be happier about it! This restaurant in downtown Berkeley Heights is truly exceptional. It's not your typical red sauce Italian place that I grew up with; the food and drinks were outstanding across the board. I enjoyed the 'nduja with burrata, the cacio e pepe romaine hearts (essentially a Caesar salad), and the Lasagna Bolognese, while my wife opted for the beet salad and gnocchi. Great Italian restaurant in the area! Came here twice for work dinner and I can’t stop recommending this place to everyone I know since my first visit. The foods and ambiance are something I will definitely recommend if you are looking for a dinner place for a special occasion or business dinner. You can never go wrong with them, everything from appetizers, entrees, and desserts are delicious. If you haven’t been to Lupa, give it a try and I can assure you that you’ll be coming back for more.
In a time when it's almost always a disappointment to dine out, Lupa knocks it out of the park. The menu is creative, the dishes were perfectly prepared, and service was impeccable. Yes, it is pricey- and absolutely worth the splurge. The bar room offers a little more of a cozy vibe- though overall both spaces can be noisy- but again, the food and service more than make up for it.

I have now dined at LUPA around 30x. Always delicious. But last night dinner moved to a new level of Extraordinary!! Aldolfo is a combination of artist genius. His creations just get better better from start to finish; every course, every time. Cocktails also perfect with a fantastic wine selection to match a wonderful, caring staff! Go back to LUPA and then go again.
Came here for dinner to celebrate my friend?s birthday earlier in the week and we had the best time! Our server Matt was wonderful and every single dish we had was amazing from the bread that was brought to the table down to the last spoonful of dessert! Highly recommend Lupa for any special occasion or even just a random night out.
If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, look no further! This is hands down the best restaurant I've ever visited, and my wife is from Italy, so I know what I'm talking about. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the staff is very attentive. You will not be disappointed. Make sure to go here and nowhere else!
This is a great spot. Food is top tier with a good wine selection. I've never been disappointed by a dish we've had. Once we arrived without a reservation towards the end of the night and they refused to let us leave they were dedicated to making room for us. Not once did I feel rushed once we were sat.

Loved my experience at this restaurant! The chef was beyond hospitable and amazing! He loves his craft and cares for the experience of his patrons. The drinks were 10/10 as well as the Salmon! Great ambiance! Will be coming back with friends as often as possible.
