Hi, I have been going to M&M for about 25 years. I never been disappointed for most of their food. The food is great, especially the desert peach cobbler. The gumbo crabs well it tastes good But they put tiny crab legs in there too where is no meat. I asked for extra crab meat I was charged $5 And I could have kept my $5 they gave tiny tiny legs And no shrimps. I had so much chicken in there. that's the only complaint I have about it They don't give you enough crabs and shrimps. I won't be ordering their gumbo no more
If Mama ain't cooking, then M M's is the next best thing. This is Soul Food that truly feeds the soul. The staff is fantastic. They take really good care of you, as you drift into soul food bliss. Be patient though, because some dishes are cooked to order. This ain't fast food...this is real food. There's a reason why M M Soul Food is legendary in Los Angeles. Come in, sit down, pick up a menu and order. When your plates are set before you on your table, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
Ok, I'm from Arkansas, so trying soulfood in California worried me. I got the oxtail dinner with greens, macaroni, and blackeyed peas. The oxtail were amazing, tender, and flavorful! The greens were great. The macaroni was cheesy and good. The black-eyed peas wellll they were oook. I also purchased a blue thunder drink it was a perfect drink, and I don't even care much for lemonade.The service had a friendly, and the atmosphere was a great soulfood restaurant home feel.
I've been a long, long time customer. That says something about the food right there. It's all very good. The service is another thing. Takes forever to get your order. They sometimes don't answer the phone for hours for pick ups. You have to go there and order, then wait an hour for it to be ready. I would probably eat here more if it wasn't always so inconvenient. It has truly prompted me to explore all the other soul food joints in the area... Réservez une table maintenant
This is still one of the better Soulfood restaurants in Southern California. I have the short ribs with gravy, candied, yams, and greens and sweet tea. The ribs were tender and falling off the bone, and as usual the color greens and the yams were outstanding.The restaurant is small, but the staff are always friendly and efficient.If you want really good soul food at a good price, check out M and M Soul Food.
Tried this spot for the first time..the food is good the place is small and very busy..I did go on a Sunday after 1 so I expected a wait it was about 20 mins. I ordered Fried pork chop with greens yams and Mac..The pork chops were yummy, the blue lemomade is really tasty, the sides...eh..Thanks for dinner and great service!Food: 5/5
The food was awesome, amazing, fantastic. I can eat here everyday. The pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and greens. Pure fire . Our whole table was packed out food everywhere. And the corn bread was perfect. The only thing I wish is that the location was bigger. If your in Carson visit this location you will love the soul food.
