Ma Yve Grill - Réserver une table

May 27, 2023.I came from a funeral and im so hungry. Its around 2:30pm and i saw this restaurant while driving. Im hungry and excited to try African food for the first time. The owner is friendly, she 's nice, even mentioned that Biyombo and Ibaka tried her food before. So im so confident and it increased my expectation. I ordered Kwanga and grilled goat. Kwanga is good but the grilled goat is so terrible, ITS A HARD AS RUBBER LITERALLY . I have no choice but to finish it coz i paid like almost $35 and i am so hungry. Definitely that meal is not worthy worth $35. Probably wont visit again.

We saw this place but mostly closed. Finally, they're now open for 6 days and longer hours. Food is delicious. Lots of African flavor and variety of cuisine. Some I never had it before. The seating area is small and basic. Service is fair but takes a long time to prepare meal since they don't do frozen. Compared to the amount, the price is high. It's okay for occasional meals but not regular.

I have ordered party trays on a numerous occasions at Ma Yves the service quality of food is always consistent. The price is also very reasonable. My favorites so far are plantain, beignets, chicken and now the beef with potato sauce...they also deliver which is very convenient...keep up the great work maman Yvette Azmina

We tried this just after things began to open up after the pandemic lock down. Ma Yve guided us through theh more cultural choices as we stayed on the safe side first and just ordered chicken and rice. She was patient and described each dish. We enjoyed our meal here and would return to try other menu options.

I had never been to the African continent before, and this restaurant may be the closest I'll get for now. Sitting here surrounded by Congolese locals who have filled up the dining area, it truly feels like a taste of Africa.

I never thought I would be able to experience the flavors of my childhood from Congo in Ontario! I recently brought my family to try the amazing cuisine at Ma Yve's and we were all pleasantly surprised.

The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty! It's a hidden gem that I always make sure to visit when I'm in the area. Don't miss their beignets - they are a must try!

Ma Yve gave us suggestions of what to try for an authentic experience with Congolese food. We enjoyed the food and we would return to experience other options.
