TL;DR: go to any other steakhouse in the Springs, local or chain, for a better meal and service. Took my boyfriend to dinner to MCH to celebrate his 20yr retirement from the Air Force. We each ordered a salad, Prime Rib, and shared a side of baby carrots. To start with the worst, our “medium rare” prime ribs were far overdone, to the point where they were hardly pink, tough, and dry. Lauren, our waitress, forgot the carrots. When the carrots came out they weren’t “al dente,” they were mostly raw. Lastly, the service was simply terrible. We weren’t checked on, no question about why we didn’t eat more than a bite or two of our food, and the bill was basically dropped with not even a friendly “...
Servers were wonderful. I wish I could remember their names. They were attentive, friendly, and answered our questions. Atmosphere was special. We were there for an anniversary and were permitted to bring in a cake which they cut and served. The food presentation was excellent. However, I did not rate a 5 because some of the dishes were very salty (chicken picatta and salmon) and the salmon appeared to be poached. Sirloin was done oerfectly but had alot of grissel so difficult to cut. The oysters on the half shell were very tasty but more than miniature in size. Fried calimari and french onion soup excellent. I would return for a special occasion. We enjoyed ourselves and never felt rushed.
We were in town on vacation. The restaurant was recommended from a colleague that lives in the area. We made a reservation and was asked if this was a special occasion and it was not. Apparently, by answering no, we were put in the loudest location of the restaurant. I will say the food was fantastic but we could not enjoy it. All we wanted to do was eat and leave as quickly as possible. We were seated by a large party that was loud, obnoxious and did not have any regard to the people around them. Our waiter apologized but did nothing to ask the party to tone it down. Needless to say, we did not stay for dessert. Disappointed that when you pay for a dinner you don't get to enjoy it.
I don’t usually leave a poor review because I know the impact that it may have, but I feel compelled to do so. My girlfriend made reservations for us for an evening to celebrate. Our reservation was for 6pm and we arrived at 545 and told that our table would be ready at 6. We both ordered prime rib cooked medium rare. Our steaks were medium well done and TOUGH. We both couldn’t finish them due to how tough and over cooked they were. Our side order of carrots were forgotten and undercooked. The service seemed rush. Save your money and go elsewhere. Really nice place, wonderful food. Would definitely go there again. Moderately expensive but you’re going to a nice sit down steak house and it’s pretty much what you’d expect it to cost. Fantastic drink selection, very talented bartenders. All in all was a great experience.
