I was truly disappointed with this restaurant. I wanted to impress my friend and his wife for his birthday by taking them to an upscale venue. The place boasts a beautiful modern decor and a lovely presentation. Unfortunately, the food was simply terrible. I couldn’t even finish my meal. After trying eight courses of tapas, we decided to leave. It felt overpriced and overrated. In the end, we settled for a burger and bar around the corner. None of the dishes I posted with my review were authentic Madrid tapas; instead, they were poorly executed Japanese or Chinese dishes. Overall, it was a total waste of $260.
We were lucky to be the only people seated on the patio for our reservation time. Our waiter was very attentive and yet, not intrusive. We arrived just before the end of happy hour, so we ordered a round of bites to get started. They were all amazing. The beet ravioli were amazing, as was the ginger roll. There was not an order submitted that didn't surprise and delight us. We ordered a rice bowl with lobster tail as our main course. While the food was delicious, I was surprised at the small amount of rice we received for the price. Other than that it was a delightful meal in an amazing atmosphere.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere inside was quite intriguing. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and am certainly planning to return to sample more dishes. The octopus was outstanding and the highlight of our meal. We also tried the shrimp paella, which was excellent. The drinks were fantastic, and everything was beautifully presented. I was very pleased with the service, too. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
I don't think I could say enough to convey what an awesome experience it was eating at MAD. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff was the same. Our waters never emptied, and the tables were cleaned as we were served. The food is some of the best I have ever had, especially the duck. I would highly recommend checking out MAD, I can't wait to get back for more!

Our first time at MAD and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food creative and very well prepared and presented. The dining room was a little cold (why, oh why, do Houston restaurants think that their patrons want it to be 65° and a little noisy, but we sat on the terrance and it was lovely. We'll certainly go back.
I really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant; it has a modern feel. The food was beautifully presented, but unfortunately, I didn't get to try much of it. We went for brunch to celebrate my birthday, but many of the dinner options were not available. Overall, we had a pleasant time, but I don't think I would return.
I am really disappointed with my visit. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, I felt neglected and not properly attended to, which was especially disheartening since we had just ordered desserts.
I had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding.
