When I saw all of the choices on the menu, I was really excited! I love when places offer ample veggie options. I had the eggs benny with spinach. The eggs were good with good hollandaise. My husband had one of the breakfast plates- sausage, eggs, beans, potatoes bread etc. he thought it was great- nice quality sausages and well cooked meal. We also took two cookies to go, one ginger molasses and one sea salt and chocolate chip- really good! The only food related complaint was the potatoes. They were cold and bland. Usually homefries have some sort of seasoning, these tasted like they didn't even have salt. And they were stone cold- not very appetizing at all.The main complaint, unfortunately...

Had lunch at Mad Dog (no parking but across from the Beer Store) on a weekday, yet it was a wait to get a table in such a small cafe. The service was fast and Montreal bagel was good. The fresh salads could be slightly heartier, but for the price, there's no complaining. It's nice that places offer herbal teas along with good varieties of coffee and hot drinks. I would return on a weekend for brunch (until 3:00) after shopping at Gerrard Square a couple blocks away. Paired with an afternoon at Ashbridges Bay park with kite-flying or beach volleyball, it could be a perfect summer day!

I drive by this place all the time and it wasn't until a rainy day a few weeks ago, we stopped in.It is such a cute spot! Cozy, homey and perfect neighbourhood stop for breakfast.I had their eggs benedict and thought everything was really tasty. And the prices!!Seriously, brunch is something I find hard to justify, because. Eggs. Like so cheap so I don't want to pay $20 for them. But I believe my dish was around $11. Perfect. We loved it here and will come back!

It's night intricate French cooking. It's breakfast. But somehow they haven't mastered or even gotten good at it. Sausages were done on one side. But the crime was the potatoes. Burned. Cinder. And yet served! How can you look at those and think they're good enough to go on a plate?Staff was unapologetic at the table clearing (and carefully never approached during the meal to ask how things were). Avoid. I discovered this little cafe as I was new to the neighbourhood and looking to discover a local breakfast stop. Mad Dog Cafe was the first one that came up so I thought I would try it out. I soon became a regular because everything about this place was great! Lovely staff, delicious food and really good coffee all for under a tenner! Bargain. Definitely would recommend this place for breakfast & lunch.

It's great to find a spot that offers a decent brunch menu every day of the week. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection (in the eggs benedict). The rest of my meal (home fries, hollandaise sauce) was okay. I have also had the salted caramel brownie and will certainly be going back again for the baked goods. Delicious!

I signed up for the Bites & Sites food walking tour this past Sunday and one of the stops was this place. Here we were given a sample size of eggs benedict and hash browns (which was huge!). The server we had was lovely and so was the owner. If I were in the area again, I would check this place out for breakfast!

Can't say how the food is. It hasn't arrived. There are two friendly servers in a restaurant that is far too big for them to manage. The kitchen is over-whelmed. Management absent. Other tables complaining. We arrived one hour ago and we're told the food is at least another fifteen minutes. Réservez une table maintenant

Its a regular hot spot in Leslieville and busy weekdays and weekends. Have had breakfast and lunch here multiple times. Favourite - cuban sandwich, all breakfast items and Americano
