I placed a pickup order for a pizza to be ready for 6:15 PM, this was roughly at 4:30 PM upon which I placed the online order, and I get a message on my phone at about 5:20 PM telling me that my order was ready to be picked up nearly an hour before the time I would be there. Hoping that I had just misunderstood and giving them the benefit of the doubt, upon arrival at 6:15 PM, I ask the employee working the register if I had misunderstood and she assured me that the text was referring to them receiving the order which doesn't make sense considering I placed the order nearly an hour before that. When I got home, it was clear the pizza had been sitting there for some time, it wasn't even warm,...
this place was once a stone for my food when I went to johnson city. eating seems really dropped off and/or ever changed since pandemic. the server is still great. I've never waited for a space for more than ten seconds. it is really just eating that is so disappointing compared to what I expected. I'm not sure what changed, but even the moussaka is different. it is still convenient and fills a fair price when staying in sleep. but it is not really worth going out of that.
Besides great food at good prices, I absolutely love that Mad Greek is a freedom loving business. Once a month on Fridays, the Tennessee Stands group meet here to give them business because they stand up to mandates and I am proud to give my business to them. Their lunch specials are amazing. I've been several times and everything I have eaten has been tasty.
