My girlfriend and I was recommended to visit Madatchen by friends who are familiar with Serfaus and its restaurants. Located a good walk from the city, we were welcomed by a beautiful snowcowered restaurant. The restaurant was vibrant with laughter, muik and the wonderfull smell of meat being prepared on the grill in the center. The Hosts, were very open and welcoming and had time for a small chat eventhough the house was packed. We settled on the Serfauser Lamb from the grill, and we were not disappointed. It was very juicy and tender, and had that really nice grill flavor. For the Schnapps afficianados, they serve a great Hasselnut Schnapps that is made right next door. Content and with full stomachs we made the walk back to town and was greeted by a beautiful sight of a lit up Serfaus. Don't let the restaurants location deter you from going. If you don't want to walk up take a cab, and walk back.
Grillhütte Madatschen Restaurant Bogenparcour Das Team war allzeit bemüht mir alle meine wünsche von den Lippen abzulesen. Das essen war köstlich (ich bin kein Veganer), der Kaiserschmarren ein Gedicht. Der Lärchen Schnaps bitte mit Vorsicht genießen. Der Weg dorthin macht Spaß 1/2 std. Fussweg von Serfaus aus. Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt und komme wieder, nächstes Jahr zum Essen und Bogenschiessen und freu mich schon. Bitte vorherige Reservierung nicht vergessen
First time to return in many years. New owners. Still a great place to visit. Location is amazing with stunning views. Only let down, I was very disappointed with the food. I am a huge steak fan and this steak had to be the worst I have ever tasted. I hope this will improve and for the price, not expectable. My wife's food was ask not up to standard.
It's quite a nice (30-40min) walk from Serfaus here, but worth the small hike.Views are really spectacular here (during daytime), food was okay, but nothing special.Service was very friendly, attentive and quick.During nighttime I would only come by car or taxi due to the (unsecured) serpentine road leading here.
