We celebrated our nephew’s 17th birthday at Madera Cuban Grill Steakhouse, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The food from their menu was outstanding—everything from tostones relleno and yuca fries to empanadas, churrasco steak, and ropa vieja was simply delicious. The drinks were perfect; my husband and I enjoyed coconut passionfruit mojitos, the best we've ever had. The service was exceptional, with our hostess being incredibly accommodating throughout the entire evening, and the entire team was very attentive. The ambiance was delightful, enhanced by live music that we thoroughly enjoyed. We look forward to returning to Madera Cuban Grill Steakhouse for future fam...
I always enjoy the food and drinks in this place. The male bartender is very nice. However, I can’t say the same about the female staff I encountered recently. It’s one thing that they are not Cuban. Fine. But they have very bad attitudes and poor social skills. Anytime I would say thank you or anything they just stay mute. (It’s not like they don’t speak English because I overheard them.)Very awkward. One time I came here for dinner and drinks. But, right after ordering my drink, I was turned off by the attitude and I left. Other than that, I would come back when they are not there. Love the food. Food: 5
Came on a Friday night and it was a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I love the interior of the place. I appreciate greatly that it wasn’t too crowded. Our waiter was attentive and got us everything we needed right on time, thank you again if you get to read this for your hospitality! The food here is good… if you’re going to go for anything just go and get the food please. My 7 year old ate every single shrimp that was on her plate, guys. Thankfully the pier is close by because after eating all that delicious food you’re definitely going to need a walk!
Madera in Long Island City is a true gem. The moment I stepped in, I felt like I was transported to Havana. The cozy ambiance, the rich aromas, and the lively music create an irresistible atmosphere. The food – oh, the food! It's like a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. Every dish feels crafted with love and care. I absolutely love Madera Cuban Grill Steakhouse! The cozy atmosphere, cleanliness, and affordability make it a great spot, and the food is truly delicious. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly, making each visit enjoyable. This was my second time dining here, and the menu once again exceeded my expectations. If you’re a fan of Cuban cuisine and want to avoid dining in Manhattan, I highly recommend Madera Cuban Grill Steakhouse.
The seafood paella here is the best I've had in a very long time! The bistec acebollado was also perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, with excellent air conditioning and a charming patio.
Always excellent food and good cocktails. Live music many nights is always a plus. Cozy indoor space and fun outdoor seating for warmer nights. Family owned and it shows in the best of ways.
