new owner fantastic eating. After having been a big fan of tamasha for many years, when I took it at madhuwan felt, I had to try. although not located in the best part of bromley, this is a must visit restaurant. the sauces for all our foods were freshly cooked and although this means a somewhat longer delay, it is worth waiting. all the ingredients seemed really fresh and the Squid star was fantastic! the prices are very reasonable and an absolute steal for the quality of food, especially in comparison to the trips in tamasha .
The restaurant offers excellent food, but unfortunately, the service was lacking this time. They were understaffed, which was not ideal for Valentine's night. However, they were very apologetic and transparent about the slow service. The bright lighting, including some downlights shining directly in diners' faces, detracted from any sense of romance. Despite these drawbacks, the delicious food is always worth the price at this establishment.
Oh dear, how the chef has pandered to local Downham tastes. Instead of spicy and contrasting food flavours we were offered bland fayre whether it was chicken or lamb. How can a tomato and cumin seasoning be bland? The ambiance was splendid as ever but the fresh herb and spice zing that so brought this restaurant to the fore was absent. Maybe the chef had an off day or maybe simple economics has moved Madhuwan from culinary to post-pub food.
The food was not up to par during our recent visit to the restaurant. In general, we have had good experiences with the food here. However, when we brought up our disappointment to the waiter after paying the bill (to avoid any implication of seeking a discount), he ignored us. It seemed like the senior staff were avoiding us.

Absolutely lovely! It was my husband's birthday and we both had a great meal, perfect service and the atmosphere was very romantic. Would highly recommend and will be definately be going back with friends and family.
Spicey despite being asked for mild, 2 slices of thin lamb and a lot of sauce for a £12.95 chef special. Poorly sized portions. Vegetables were microwaved and not fresh. Not accepting Amex
more open table has not informed me that the restaurant actually closed for the kitchen renovation. highly annoyed. How difficult can it be to keep what happens in a restaurant?
another beautiful dinner for four in the madhuwan. we loved the momos and the Tandoori chicken. the tempo of the meal was great without haste and much time to enjoy every cure.
