I visited Madre with my mum yesterday after some shopping, attracted by its warm atmosphere and lovely decor. We were in the mood for something light, but sadly the food didn’t quite live up to our hopes. We started with the chips and guacamole, which were decent but not particularly memorable, so we wouldn't rush to order them again. Next, we tried the chicken and halloumi tacos. The chicken tacos were quite disappointing; I found a bone in one, and much of the "meat" was just skin. It was not an enjoyable experience. I went to Madre to celebrate a birthday with friends, and we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff, who were extremely generous and kind. They provided excellent service throughout our visit, regularly checking on our food and ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was some of the best I've ever tasted! The flavors, presentation, and portion sizes were all exceptional, and everyone loved their dishes. The atmosphere was lively, and the music enhanced the enjoyable experience.
