Let me start off by saying that it is highly recommended to not go during rush hour if you are on a time schedule. Time waited to sit 3 was 10 minutes (not bad , but time waited to get our orders was around 15 minutes. Service is very abrupt due to the very busy environment. Definitely not enough servers. One of our guests ordered their food without cheese and they left the cheese off all the meals (kind of funny . Food was decent for being Tex Mex. I had the Chicken Flautas, but would've been better with Cheese. My other guests enjoyed their meals. I would go again at a different time to see if Service would be better. I was impressed by how quickly and accurately they handled the takeout orders. The male manager was consistently nice, attentive, and very professional, making the whole experience even better. This place truly meets expectations. I love the cozy atmosphere, making it ideal for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying lunch with family, friends, or coworkers.
Just a tip: the restaurant is located in the tunnels. I recommend using the entrance at 600 Travis and taking the escalators down; you'll find the restaurant immediately to your right. It's also a good idea to arrive a bit earlier than the lunch rush or place your order in advance, as it tends to get busy from noon to 1:30 PM....
The old man was incredibly rude and rushy when taking my order. Lied to me that he has a drink but he didn't have it. Then he brought out a different drink anyway and then when I told him this isn't the drink I ordered, he said he doesn't sell my drink so why the f you brought it out?The food was subpar. Everything is $20 or some insane number, with a few items $15. But the only way I will ever pay for this price is if they include the cookware, the chair, the table, the carpet with the food. Nothing here is delicious, it's edible, deli food, not restaurant quality.Do not waste your money
The head chef had broken her wrist on the very day our group of 38 from a senior trip arrived. The replacement chef lacked experience, which was disappointing because I had heard great things about the restaurant. To make amends, they could offer a complimentary meal at Trinimendenhall in Spring Branch for everyone who was there that day. That would be a positive step for them. We were offered a 20% discount, but we all agreed it wasn't sufficient.
