We chose the wrong table… near the door. A couple of 2 seater tables became available and I asked to move. When the Manager who looked stressed said if we moved, would have to vacate new table at 11.15 am. I said that was ok but challenged her over a previous request. She continued to be rude and unhelpful. eg“it’s my place and I can do as I want” Once we moved, she then came over and swopped the signs on our new table. Original sign said 12 noon to 11.15am!! She then told us “she was good at managing tables.” I would refute this. At 11.25 she came over removed sign said we could stay, and then remonstrated with my friend further. Amazing brunch here today, the sweet potatoe hash my daughter had was fab, I will try that next time, my breakfast and husbands was just so delicious, asked for bacon well done and was perfect, poached eggs perfect, the coffee was perfect, Guinness cake out of this world, even the little butters you get with toast are superb, staff friendly and cafe decor lovely, spotless clean it’s just a lovely place all round,
Maggies, located on Duke Street, is an incredible cafe known for its amazing brunch. It is a popular spot, so it's recommended to reserve a table in advance. However, they always make an effort to accommodate me and my family for a quick coffee and cake, which we really appreciate. The coffees here are amazing, and it is a wonderful place for children to relax. The baby cinos always go down well at Maggies!
Went to Maggies for lunch with my friend yesterday and I was not disappointed. I had a delicious chai tea latte made with Oat Milk and a lovely Avocado and poached egg on toast. Staff was super friendly. It’s a really cosy atmosphere and the food was *chefs kiss! Yummy! Highly recommend! Also, this is a dog friendly venue which is always great for us pet parents out there.

The best brunch with amazing service. Very busy when we called in without booking. Were advised to come back in an hours time, which worked perfectly. The food and service was such a treat! Lovely atmosphere. The sort of place which makes you realise how poor other places are. You can tell a lot of hard work goes into Maggies and it certainly pays off. Thank you!
I absolutely adore this family-owned restaurant, it's always my first choice when my daughter comes to visit from university. This time, I tried the Shakshouka and it was delicious. The food is high-quality and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The staff are lovely and the regular customers can't be mistaken - they keep coming back for a reason!
We came here, slightly hungover for brunch! we were glad we'd booked for a late Saturday morning, as it was so busy we did have to wait a while but quality of food was excellent and there were so many things I could have chosen off the menu, definitely need to come back! highly recommend.
I am amazed by the birthday breakfast we had at this restaurant. I ordered the campfire beans and my partner had the peppered mushrooms with spinach and parmesan. The food was absolutely delicious.

Fabulous breakfast, very clean, we had the mushroom spinach and poached eggs on sourdough,lots of choice on the menu, great service, our first visit but we will become regulars!
We had a lovely coffee in a very comfortable cafe.The cafe is clean has pleasant staff and a good selection of cakes .Would recommend
