Mag's Japanese Cafe

Its taken a while. We always intended to visit when Mags operated in the centre of Preston. If you love fresh food cooked with love and served with a smile, this is a hidden gem. Forget your middle of the road generic restaurants and support a local independent business. We called in on the spur of the moment to grab some lunch to take away. Half an avocado roll, half a prawn tempura roll (thats about 10 large pieces of sushi in total) and a beef ramen to share. It was more than enough food. The added bonus was the huge smile on our faces when we had finished. Total price was £15 I would recommend ordering the day before. More if you want fresh fish in any of the dishes. I promise its worth...

My family lived in Chorley, so when I visited we decided to try a Japanese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this little cafe. Despite my skepticism, the dishes were delicious and comparable to the best Japanese food I have ever had. The decor was charming and the tables were lacquered. The aromas were perfect, and the flavors were light, fresh, and full of taste. My mother enjoyed her tempura shrimp with a spicy dip. I will definitely be returning to this cafe the next time I am in Chorley, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience authentic Japanese cuisine.

The sushi at this restaurant is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend a visit. They have a large selection of fresh food and a skilled chef who clearly knows what he's doing. They offer indoor dining with attentive and competent staff. Despite feeling like a typical indoor setting, the staff's attentiveness surpassed that of many more expensive restaurants in the city. I am looking forward to coming back.

Very sorry that Mag has retired. But not to despair. It's replacement in the shape of Nishi Sushi is at leasst as good. Nishi Sushi is more too than just a great place for sushi. A wide range of delicious starters and mains options besides sushi. Veggies well-catered for. Réservez une table maintenant

simply super! many decisions many tastes and all taste brilliant. also the service is exceptional, they roll in the round a red carpet for u, which is on the top of the large food is a overkill

The sushi at this restaurant is really amazing. I have ordered their platters multiple times and they never disappoint. There is a wide variety of options and they are all beautifully arranged.

Fantastic Sushi …. The quality of the fish is amazing…. The salmon sashimi was one of the best I have ever had …. The rice was perfect … great value for money.
