Mai Lee appeared willing to accommodate vegan diners, but they've unfortunately lost the ability to do so effectively, despite their claims on Tripadvisor and their menu. The cooking and serving staff seem to lack a proper understanding of vegan food. I noticed that my meal was fried in the same oil as meat and then cooked with non-vegan ingredients, even though I had ordered it specifically as vegan. As someone who has been strictly vegetarian for over 30 years, I can easily recognize when my food has been contaminated. When I brought this issue to the attention of the waitstaff, they responded without any apology, offering me a mere $2 discount on my bill instead of remedying the situation...

The quality of service and food declines with every visit. On our last trip, a full entree was missing from our order, so we had to drive back and wait while they prepared it again. The front staff was rude and dismissive, making us feel like an inconvenience. Last night, we decided to give them another chance, but I received chicken in my vegetarian entree, despite clearly stating that I wanted no meat and only tofu. We also ordered chicken wings, which were completely raw in the center, posing a serious health risk. Amazing Thai cuisine! The service is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The restaurant is spotless, and I absolutely love the remodel. It was my favorite dining spot when I lived in Wenatchee, and I make it a point to eat here at least once every time I visit.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but after repeatedly confirming that I wanted my food without meat, I ended up with a curry that was loaded with chicken. If you can't accommodate meat-free requests, it would be helpful to indicate that on your menu.
