We visited a couple of weeks ago and although the food was OK the service was terrible. We ordered 2 roasts of the day and 2 sefood platters. What annoyed us most was it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for our meals to be served particularly when other customers who arrived and ordered well after us were served and completed their meals before we even received ours. We asked 3 times how much longer we had to wait and the response was rather rude. I spoke to a manager the day after with my suspected reasons for the rudeness and received an apology and the promise of a voucher to compensate. Said voucher has failed to arrive 2 weeks later. Eight 70 year olds went for lunch , a lot of us have been going there for years , but no more . The main complaint was the service , so bad , the girl with out glasses was by far the worst .It went on and on all day ., I had a querie and stood at the bar for ages while she punched some things into a machine completely ignoring me , I went back to the table , no response . Food 2 out of 8 were fantastic . But definitely not again .

We took the family to The Maid of Auckland for dinner, six adults and 4 boys under seven. We were greeted by a charming waitress who gave the children an activity pack each which quickly settled them down. The menu was simple pub grub, not fine dining, perfect for an informal meal and delicious. With table service, hot bread rolls and a welcoming atmosphere it is certainly a place we will revisit and highly recommend to others

Visited this establishment during the week for luncheon with a friend. Staff very friendly and attentive, nice surroundings. Serves of food plentiful, fresh and lovely. I had Caesar Salad with squid..little too much of the bacon and croutons, but lovely enough and lots of it, in fact couldn't eat it all. If you are a senior there are weekday specials that are reasonably priced, with choices. Certainly worth a revisit. Réservez une table maintenant

We had lunch here and what a surprise, the staff were friendly and helpful and full table service.We both had the garlic prawns and calamari, the serve was of a good size and the produce fresh and nicely cooked and presented.The menu was comprehensive with a wide variety to choose from so most tastes should be well covered.

Split a shopping expedition in two with lunch at the Maid. Hadn't been for awhile and there has been a revamp/remodel.Not sure what they achieved with that as the Pub looks more old fashioned than it did-maybe that's what they were trying to achieve. However...More

The title says most of it but we have been there several times with friends and found it consistently good. Reasonable portion sizes and the menu is adequate without being over the top. It's not MKR but we rate it well.

Went here for a plan short lunch with my partner. in the end we stay for nearly 2.5 hours. The food is not the best you could get in Adelaide. But he staff was friendly and the atmosphere is just feel at home. Réservez une table maintenant

Great pub food. Most enjoyable. Staff are friendly and helpful too. The range is good with a specials board as well. Always clean.

Very nice casual meal. Happy friendly staff. Just had the sirloin schnitzel. Perfectly cooked very filling.
