The cheese rites are very good, but the corn dog was not crispy. It still tasted pretty good, it just seemed like it might have sat around for a bit. They might have been short staffed like most places these days. The onion rings were excellent. The staff that were there were all really nice and cheerful though. If I could have a wish for this place, I would wish it had real draft root beer like the one in Muscatine has. That would put it over the top. With the price of fast food becoming increasingly ridiculous, it's a much better idea to go to Maid Rite and get something that tastes better.
I happen to like these sandwiches. Anytime I drive through Iowa I try and stop at a Maid-Rite. This location had a particularly unique, clean, and fun atmosphere. I ate in. Food was tasty, staff were friendly and they checked on me to be sure I was satisfied. Bathroom was clean. Was a great experience.
