Maison Carre - Réserver une table

We were staying in sarlat-La Canada which has many good places to eat, but we read about this before we left and wanted to try it. We went on 2 different days, the last day looked like they were closing for a bit and baked items was much smaller than the first day, but still very tasty. There was not one item we bought that was not fabulous! Our most favorite and unique thing we ate was the walnut tarts spoken off in other reviews. It is soooo good!!! I will be dreaming about them when I am back home and wishing I could eat one as good as it was there. Bakery only takes cash, so plan accordingly, but felt prices were reasonable.

We spent two weeks within 20kms of this wonderful patisserie in 2017. Everything was extremely good, but the one both of us still dream of is the best walnut tart anywhere (Carre aux Noix? Amazing! Wish they could hand out the recipe as we live in Australia and probably won't make it back for sometime.

We loved this place while staying nearby, really glad we don’t live in the area otherwise we would go everyday. This croissants and bread were beautiful everyday. We also one day bought some cakes and I 100% recommend the lemon meringue!

This was a perfect location for us while traveling around the Dordogne we visited here a couple of times to get cakes and sometimes a sandwich. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh! I would recommend trying the cakes! Yum!

Couple of years ago redecorated. Coin machine and all. Large selection of bread. Pain aux noix, tranché ou non, delicious. July and august all week open for business.
