I 'd place this in the “really good” category, but falls short of “great” — but my bar is high. Service is quite good, it 's a charming older building, bone-in filet was good but not the top 20 I 've had. I understand the service/supply-chain issues we 've had lately, but when you can 't fully cook a baked potato, you get no more than 3 stars. It has the potential to be 'great ' but i don 't think the staff really cares enough to make that happen.
The Majestic is a Kansas City staple. The service was great but the food was lacking flavor. I ordered the ribeye with green beans. The decor could also use a slight update but the food is really what brings people back. It was okay for me.
Disappointed. At the entrance, strong smell of old cigar smoke. Very offensive. Steak was not great. The much heralded carrots were dry. Unfortunately won 't be back. It is not the 'old ' Majestic.

The atmosphere reminded me of what a speakeasy might have been. The service was wonderful and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend
