This is disappointing and feels like a cheat to the customer. For the same price at a supermarket, you would get a nice, thick salmon steak. I would have walked up to the restaurant staff to show them the size of the salmon on my plate compared to the price I paid. Instead of a substantial portion of salmon, the dish is mostly filled with onions, baby corn, and other cheap vegetables. It feels more like a vegetable teriyaki with a small piece of salmon added. Located in Avenel, this undiscovered gem offers an All-you-can-eat option for $28 (as of 2022). The delicious flavors make it a worthwhile dining experience. My favorite dishes were the meat satay and the tempura-fried shrimp, sweet potato, and scallops. Be sure to plan ahead as the space is small, and note that there is an 18% gratuity required for parties of 6 or more.
The sushi and sashimi at this restaurant are fantastic! The all-you-can-eat option is a great value for those with big appetites. The service is excellent as well. The only downside is that they automatically add an 18% gratuity without giving customers the option to adjust it themselves. The dishes are also very attractive.
The sushi there is really fresh and delicious but the seaweed salad which is normally served on its own was served today on a bed of lettuce which was disappointing so we did not get the full seaweed salad but half of it and wayyy more lettuce that we did not want at all so keep that in mind.

The House Salad was disappointing - just iceberg lettuce and a thin slice of red cabbage, with no tomatoes, cucumber, onions, olives, or croutons. Additionally, I requested blue cheese dressing but did not receive it. The Wonton Soup was delicious and the Yellowtail sushi was good.
I always enjoy the perfectly fresh sashimi at this restaurant! The presentation is lovely and they always accommodate special requests. I have ordered from Makoto multiple times and will definitely continue to do so!
Very small restaurant but packed. Rolls were good and very generous portions. They should be more clear on the of rolls for each sushi as we did order more than we can handle. Everything we ordered was very good!
Small but homey. Busy place. Food is good. My family did the buffet, $26.95. orders from kitchen and sushi are very good. This is our 2nd times back. Have not been disappointed yet.

we were eating all you can eat sushi. it was delicious! the food was fresh and nicely plated. that's my place for me too. I never had a bad meal here! highly recommended!
Delicious food. I ordered tomyum soup, California sushi and basil chicken fried rice. All items are very tasty and the fried rice is not too oily.
