We went for lunch but were told they don't do lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays doesn't say this on their website) but that we could choose something from the sandwich menu. We opted for a roasted veg and pesto and a ham, tomato chutney and goats cheese sandwich option was sandwich or ciabatta but only sandwiches were available.Around 25 minutes later the food arrived we were the only customers and it was revolting! The ham was suspiciously warm and rather grey around the edges, the bit of salad was well past its best with slimy green bits in and everything was made with bits of dry toast! My husband and I visited late Sunday lunch time with another couple and our baby. We were greeted by two gorgeous dogs who once they had said their hellos went back to sleep and we didn't see them again. We were disappointed they weren't serving Sunday lunch but I believe this is to be added to the menu soon. We all ordered different mains and were all really happy with our choices and the portion sizes were very generous. The puddings were also lovely. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. There didn't appear to be a baby change facility but that would be my only (very minor) criticism and we will be back

I had a wonderful lunch with friends at this recently renovated pub. The menu had a great variety of options and the food surpassed typical pub fare. The steak, venison, and ale pie with hand-cut chips was fantastic, and the hand-cut home roasted ham, egg, and chips were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Two adorable dogs stayed in the bar area and did not disrupt the dining experience.

We visited this restaurant four times while staying nearby in our caravan. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, even our dog was greeted by a Siberian Husky at the door! The food was all homemade and delicious, ranging from pesto and Mediterranean vegetables on a Ciabatta, to steak and chips, with fish and chips in between. Every dish was beautifully presented and served with a smile. We will definitely return if we are in the area again. Réservez une table maintenant

I met up with friends for lunch at this restaurant during my travels because it was a convenient location I found through an internet search. What a gem! It is a cozy traditional pub with a log fire, a beautiful husky dog, and delicious food. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our experience so much that we even came back on our way home just for dessert. LOL!

Had the worst meal ever last night. I had to send back my inedible steak, replacement one only marginally better. Other meals were uninspired and nothing like the website menu. There are plenty of much better pubs locally, upset we picked this one!

Booked for a Monday evening.On arrival told we could perhaps have a sandwich.Barman said we work 7 days a week you have to understand it's to much to cook every day.We left. Why not tell us when we booked? What an attitude! One to miss here !

The food was nice; they have a wide range of different burgers. However, the sour cream was not the best. Complements to the sous-sous-chef! The burger selection gets a 8.5/10, my personal favourite being the 'Avocado Supreme '. Réservez une table maintenant
