Absolutely loved the place! Took the water shuttle from City Walk and it was the best dining experience of our trip. From the friendly staff to the delicious food it was just a great time. Throw in some live music as they walked around singing to your table taking your requests to the good prices (especially for Universal Resort), you just can't have a better dining experience. The pasta tasted home made, bread tasted like it was right out of the oven, the sauce was more savory and not horribly sweet like most places, and the chicken was just a perfect balance of breading/cheese/sauce. Staying at Portofino for small family reunion. We were a party of 10 with 3 children and we came for a late dinner on 6/10/23. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a large long table very quickly! Our server was Youssef and he provided excellent service and was so kind and gracious. We were given delicious warm bread and breadsticks before our meal. The food was absolutely wonderful! My veal piccata was excellent, one of my sons had a special rigatoni which was really delicious! This might have been the best dining experience I've ever had! As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by multiple staff members, who even provided extra chairs for the large stuffed animals my kids won at Universal. They served us a generous basket of various breads, which was a lifesaver since all three of my kids were starving. Our waitress, Lindsey, was possibly the best server we've ever encountered. This restaurant serves incredible food that is definitely worth the price. The filet was cooked to perfection, and although I didn’t take a photo, the Chef’s Special—a mushroom risotto with shrimp—was the best I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere was lively too, with an accordion player and opera singers performing a song at nearly every table during our meal, which added to the fun and made the wait feel shorter. I will absolutely return! Just a heads up, there is a parking fee that might put some people off, but it’s waived for dinner; just make sure to get a ticket from your server.

I usually steer clear of arriving at a restaurant close to closing time, as I expect that the service may be lacking and some menu items might be unavailable. However, this was not the case here at all. The food was outstanding, and the staff was incredible. We even enjoyed a little Soprano-style show at our table. They come over and ask if you'd like a particular song. I wasn’t prepared for this, so I blurted out the first Italian song that came to mind: "Con te Partirò." The lady performed it beautifully!
Eating at this restaurant was the highlight of our trip! The bread was the freshest I have ever had and our pasta was incredible. To top it off we got serenaded by a gentleman with a guitar and two singers while we ate. We requested musical theatre and the one guy sang “Bring Hime Home” from Les Mis on the spot and literally brought us to tears. The best rendition of that song I have ever heard. It was an experience we will never forget!
We came by for magical dining and were really impressed. The moment you walk in you smell all the delicious smells. We had Calvin as our waiter and he was great! Made sure to keep our food coming out at a consistent pace, all of it was delicious and plenty of delicious recommendations. We tried the pasta fagiole, bolognese and cannolis (not pictured because we jumped into them right away).
What a great place! The decor is so traditional and cosy, we loved it. Junior was simply fantastic! The service was excellent, and the dining room had a warm, cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious with generous portions. The flourless torte was incredible! The live music at the table added a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place!
