We visited Mama Fay's on our first night away in Aberystwyth over the Platinum Jubilee holiday.The shop is bright, colourful and full of life with great music being played. We were greeted by two lovely waitresses who showed us to our table. The entire process was table service, so we could be completely laidback.The service was speedy and the food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the Halloumi Sticks, Jerk Sharer Platter Sweet Potato Tart.All of this, plus drinks came to about £26.50 each. For a three course meal and a drink, I'd say that is great value for money! If we ever find ourselves in Aber again, we will be popping in to Mama Fay's!
This restaurant is fantastic. The food is amazing, with delicious aromas and tender meat. The atmosphere is great and the service is incredibly fast. The staff is very helpful and Chef Phil even took the time to personally greet customers with a smile and passion. The team at Mama Fay's is clearly skilled and well-coordinated. I highly recommend eating here.
This was a little gem of a place. Staff were friendly attentive but not pushy. We had plenty of time to look at the menu and the food was wonderful. It was very nice when the chef came out to check that you were happy with your food. I would recommend visiting Aberystwyth to five this restaurant a try.....well worth it.
it was our first time we had dinner tonight at mama fay. we ordered the smoked goat full of taste and meat very delicate. we also ordered rice and inherited and chips as sides and both were very nice. compliments to the chef and the staff at mama fay’s. I'm sure we'll try other dishes with them again

eating is good, but not spectacular. I have ordered both in the restaurant and by the take (by ordering in the restaurant) and the restaurant is horribly obstructed how slow it is. unless they are willing to wait well for an hour to eat, I would recommend going elsewhere.
Amazing food, great flavours, tender meat, great atmosphere, superb quick service, very helpfull staff. Chef Phil found some time to meet the customer with a smile and passion. Well done team Mama Fay’s. Strongly recommend.
Only 2 stars because the staff were friendly...the rest was awful. Bland food and not very authentic. The place was busy but I wasn't sure why.
