Had lunch here today and was quite disappointed. I ordered the broken rice and chicken, when it came out the chicken was cold while the rice was warm! My husband had the broken rice and beef, his beef looked like leather and was also cold. Should have lined up at the Thai place close by because they were so busy... Very telling as Mama Tran's was very quiet.
Had a very bad experience. Ordered Dry Style Rice Noodles with Braised Pork. The wait staff charged me extra for the wrong item and got angry when I tried to rectify the matter. It came as no surprise when the noodles were overly salty and had so much hoisin sauce.
I personally thought this this place would serve the same quality as the one in the CBD. I couldn't be so wrong! I had the toasted BMT for lunch today and it was hard as rock! They tried to soften it out by overfilling with the pickled carrot :( Stale bread is overly staled !
Don't expect too much from Mama Tran's. It's simply a fast food joint. The mi kho is the only thing on the menu worth having. Service is lacking at times and the waitstaff gets grumpy when you ask for sauce bowls or additional side plates. Réservez une table maintenant
Ordered the Beef Pho. The broth tasted nice and the noodles were okay, but the only problem is that there was nowhere near enough beef compared to the beef pho that I've had previously, which also included beef meatball things.
Wow that is the worst Pho I have ever eaten. Flavourless and using pork extender! I didn't even know that, that existed. And for what you get for the price is lacking in quality but the serve is the right size, ample.
Been here twice and order the same menu because its delicious. We always order the Beef Pho and the taste never disappointed. We learn that this restaurant also available on other locations, definitely will try it.
This food place is in Joondalup shopping centre food court. Decided to give it a go. Disappointed. Felt like we were eating msg. Couldn't taste anything but saltiness if the broth. Won't be coming back for this. Réservez une table maintenant
Not as good as city restaurant. Rude staff member. Soup oily and bland. Shame as Milligan St one is amazing. Would be great to see improvement here as open for weekend lunch.
