I live in MD but stop at this place every 3 or 4 months to bring cheesesteaks to my family in North Jersey. My last order was so so, but I let it slide. I was really disappointed today though because the bread was burned. Did they burn it in preparation or select burned ones on purpose? I ordered 3 steaks today for my son's birthday dinner and wasn't expecting this. The meat was good, but the burned rolls on all 3 sandwiches was suspect. I spent almost 50 and left a tip. Not cool at all. There aren't many good places left in South Jersey, so I guess I'll be going into Philly. I won't be back here.
Was craving both pizza and meatballs idk why?? This place was recommended, decided to come order a meatball pizza.Very greasy, floppy, not sure if the meatballs are stored in a pot with a juice- but that overtook the sauce. It wasn’t terrible but wasn’t the best taste. Meatball wasn’t my cup of tea. The crust was amazing!I’ll definitely comeback to order a regular pie- but yea I probably wouldn’t combine the two (pizza meatballs).Will update my review when I get the chance. Ordering was quick place was clean, folks were nice. Will definitely give it another shot.
I had to check out the cheese steak to see if it lived up to the hype. And oh man, does it ever! One of the best cheese steaks I've ever had for sure. The roll was excellent and they have cooper sharp cheese which melted so well. The steak itself was actually really well seasoned. I also grabbed a Sicilian slice from the counter cause it looked so good and it was also excellent. The guy at the counter was really friendly and was talking to everyone that came in like he knew them. Really awesome place and definitely impressed. Can't wait to come back!
We ordered two meatball, an eggplant Parm and a cheesesteak. Also a meatball bowl with spicy meatballs. I enjoyed the rocky Balboa and momma meatballs The spicy meatballs were ok but I was very disappointed that I did not receive my salad or garlic knot that came with the meatball bowl. We were back in our home in Dover when we realized this. We travel back and forth between NJ and Delaware frequentlyAlthough we were not blown away by the food I must say the bread was delicious. Reminded me of the Italian bakery when I was growing up. Réservez une table maintenant
The experience wasn't as exceptional as I had hoped. I apologize to JL Delaware (online). Everything we ordered was just okay. They also forgot our salad. The pizza slices were mediocre at best, and the eggplant parmesan, cheesesteak, Rocky Balboa meatball hoagie, and Mama's meatball hoagie were all fine but not outstanding. The spicy meatballs had a nice kick, and we really enjoyed the sharp provolone on the steak sandwich. However, for me, it isn't worth the detour from the NJ Turnpike.
Without a doubt, this is a top-notch cheesesteak. It deserves a spot in your top 5 cheesesteaks and absolutely should be in your top 10. The pizza is outstanding as well, so be sure to grab a slice while you're there. The only downside is the limited seating; there's a small counter with only four seats inside and a few tables outside.
Some of the best vegetarian meatballs I’ve ever had. I got a drunken style bowl and the meatballs were incredibly flavorful. The texture could have been a little firmer but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. We will absolutely be back to try the other styles of bowls
