I really wanted to like this place because they were so kind to me about my allergies. All the great reviews led my family to this place but if you like a poor taste in your mouth and horrible customer service then this place is for you. I live 7 minutes away and when I called to tell the manager a portion of my food was cold, she argued with me and told me it was a transit problem. I was there on time for my order and it had been sitting on a measly brown table.. I explained on the phone that my sesame chicken was super soggy breading and the chicken itself was dry and hard to eat. The celery was hard, the rice was hard. Finally, a Chinese restaurant that knows what the word Vegan means! It was so nice to not have to explain that fish sauce and oyster sauce aren't vegan. I got the tofu with vegetables and the sauce was lighter and less corn-starchy than most places I get take-out from. The vegetables seemed fresher, too. While the tofu was definitely fried (yum) it wasn't fried to total death. The service was pretty good. I haven't found a Chinese restaurant with an actual dining room in ages, so that was fun and something different. There was a huge family dining there that night and seemed to be celebrating a birthday, which leads me to believe it's a special place to them. I'll definitely be back!

As always, amazing! The vegetable are fresh and crunchy not overcooked (which is something I care about as a dad). The sauces are not just one dimensional, nor is the dish swimming in sauce. Instead the sauces are flavorful without overpowering what you are trying to taste. The dishes are each unique instead of all blending into one taste profile. You get PLENTY of the protein you choose (even the shrimp) and the food is hot and the rice is fluffy. No, most of the dishes are not traditional but that is not what you are looking for when you come here. This is great local Chinese food with great service. Thanks again and I 'll be back...

This is the best Chinese food we've discovered since relocating to the area! The flavors are fantastic, and the sauces taste fresh (as someone who cooks from scratch frequently, I don't say that lightly about jarred sauces). There's a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, and the spicy dishes really pack a punch instead of being just mildly hot, like some places in Minnesota. We've sampled other restaurants nearby, but they've either been overly salty or filled with MSG, or they skimp on the meat with just a couple of pieces in the whole dish. The quality of food at Mandarin Yang has really gone downhill. We ordered from them a couple of months ago and the food was meh. We decided to give it another try, but it was just as bad. We ordered the Tiger Pork (extra spicy) and Beef in Garlic Sauce (spicy), and neither dish had any amount of spice and an overall bland flavor. The Cream Cheese Puffs were cold and the Egg Rolls didn't have any pork and were just filled with bad tasting cabbage. My search for decent Chinese Food in the Minnetonka area continues and I can officially cross Mandarin Yang off my list.

I've developed quite an obsession with Pad Thai, and the version from Mandarin Yang did not disappoint. I ordered online for delivery and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions! The chicken was tender, and I appreciated the addition of carrots and sautéed onions, which provided a delicious crunch. I give Mandarin Yang a solid 5 stars and can't wait to explore more of their menu. If you're a fan of tasty Chinese and Thai food with ample servings, you definitely need to try this place!

Very solid Americanized Chinese food. Nothing is going to surprise you, but everything was well done. If you're gluten free, consider this a five-star review; they truly take a special interest in making sure that GF options are available and, when I called in a panic when I realized that I had forgotten to make one order gluten-free, handled it perfectly and without fuss. Mandarin Yang is the most consistent take out place the food is always ready fast, hot, and tastes exactly like you think it will. Not to mention that they are one of the only places that does good egg foo young. This is our weekly Friday night delight. Réservez une table maintenant

Food was good, I had the Shrimp and Vietnamese spring rolls, the food came out in a timely fashion. Good portion size. Healthy servings, my only issue with the place is the temperature it was about 68°, a little cold for a pleasant dining experience.
