We discovered this place when we went to the adjacent well known Japanese ramen place Ganbaranba. The Korean dumplings intrigued us, so we came the following day.This is the same location as the Mando on “46 lake st”. Not sure why there are two addresses, because the entrance is really on Spence st. The menu is simple, but with a good enough variety. It doesn’t contain the classic Korean dishes you may be use to (bibimpap, japchae glass noodle stir fry, seafood pancake, etc.) However, it does contain other dishes that are worth trying. There are a few stir fry’s with your choice of starch (udon, rice vermicelli, rice). They tend to put some chopped cabbage with a heavy dose of mayonnaise on...
So glad we went in here. It was near empty at the time and the noodle place next door was overcrowded. This little restaurant makes their dumplings and noodles fresh and the dumplings were so good! The noodle soup with seafood was so delicious. The spicy pork dish was also tasty. The dishes were huge! I did not finish mine at all after scoffing down the dumplings. Definitely worth a try if you like Korean flavours.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I work directly across the road. In fact, last week I ate at Mando 3 out of 5 days! Their food is fresh, and amazingly delicious. My only criticism is that it is quite oily, but that may just be usual for Korean food. Lunch will only set you back $15-22 and is sensational. Their hand-made dumplings are probably the best I've taste in Cairns!
We ordered a combination of dumplings to try. They were hand made. We also ordered the Bulgogi beef udon noodles. It had interesting sweet flavours. But if you like the flavour of Kim chi. You have to try the cold noodle dish. Served in a stainless steel bowl with thin buckwheat noodles bathed in a cold broth. I think that really hit the spot. Will definitely come back!

If you you love Kim chi then you have to try their delicious cold buckwheat noodle dish. It definitely hits the spot! The dumplings and noodles soups are also delicious, and are hand made. There were 3 staff working the night we were there, and they were so accomodating and efficient. We had a great meal their, and returned the next day for lunch!
I have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. It isn't the cheapest eat in cairns, but it's fresh, clean great food and I would recommend a visit. You can sit inside or outside. Enjoy!
what a little treasure! Very impressive authentic style and tastes, small inside and only a few tables outside, but well worth trying for something healthy, delicious and affordable
What a treat it was to find this little restaurant. The food is so good. Prices are terrific, the service fast and friendly. I will be back...again and again...love it

Had lunch here. The meal was nice and very tasty. It was well presented. Staff were good with quick service. Even got some free dumplings as staters. Will come back.
