This place is so hit and miss. My partner and I come to Airlie once or twice a year and unfortunately Mangroves are inconsistent in quality. Pizza this time was dried out lamb and yogurt. Just didnt have the wow this time. Staff are very pleasant but $20 for a small chicken ceasar with a hard boiled egg was simply too much. Hopefully next time will be better.
Looked inviting, simple no frills dining, my husband had bangers and mash with pepper sauce, he loved it. I had Cajun wings with fries. The wings were great, well cooked, still juicy. The fries were horrendous. Soggy, obviously frozen, yuck. Spoilt the meal for me. After saying that, if they improved on the fries, who knows.
Lovely pizza from this place which has offers on sometimes throughout the week too.Was not greeted and seated when we arrived but it was soon apparent that we were not in that sort of place.Lovely friendly staff and pizza was out of this world Don't let the place put you off as you walk past. Give it a chance, it's worth it.
We stopped in here for something simple but delicious and we got it. A wood fired Pepperoni pizza that was delicious. In fact, we went back again another evening to have it again. Licensed. Friendly staff and great service! Appears to be a sports type restaurant, fairly large with multiple TV's of current sporting action. Réservez une table maintenant
If you want Real WoodFried Pizza then you have to come here... it is just sooooo good. they have really big large tables too which allow bigger groups to have the space they need. Prices are decent and they have a good wine selection too
I cannot get over how rude a member of staff was to me - as customer service goes this is the worst place i've been to in Australia. Much better places to go in Airlie beach, avoid at all costs.
Mangrove Jacks was a great spot. Close and was a great spot to have a lovely meal or just have a beer and watch the footy.
If you only eat out once while in Airlie Beach, make sure you go here! Monday night pizza special night rocks! Réservez une table maintenant
