We have driven past this almost daily having moved into the area in the spring but hesitated booking a table as we thought it was super expensive. So we waited until our wedding anniversary and booked. We got a taped message stating that the restaurant was closed for annual holiday but we left a message booking a table for the next open night, which was our anniversary, hoping it would be received. We last visited la Pommeraie 18 months ago and were immediately impressed by the new interior - minimalist while retaining the features of an old manoir - oak beams, granite fireplaces...Sunday lunch was a French family affair with many tables hosting 3 generations including many well behaved children.Staff were delightful - a charmingly shy young apprentice shadowed by her experienced and knowledgeable supervisor.Menu offered 2,3, or 4 courses with a choice of 2 dishes per course. Virtually all food sourced from local markets with salads home grown. The 3 course option cost €31 and was excellent. A fabulous lunch, exquisitely presented and delightfully served by our friendly hosts. Afterwards, a visit to the table from Chef Julian to ensure that all was to our satisfaction and expectations. Put simply, It was everything and so much more.We have spent a lot of time in France over the years and we truly cannot remember a better dining experience, only an equal many years ago.We certainly will be visiting more regularly in future as we have a home nearby that will, hopefully, be a permanent one and we highly recommend the Manor de la Pommeraie to you all.
Mon mari et moi avons dîné ici et avons mangé un fabuleux repas de trois plats. C'est de la vraie haute cuisine et de la gastronomie. Les portions ne sont pas énormes mais le nombre de plats, la qualité de la nourriture et les saveurs sublimes compensent pour en faire une expérience mémorable. Le service était très bon et la nourriture préparée avec talent. Avec le vin, notre facture pour deux était de 100,00 €. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant mais soyez prêt à prendre votre temps, à savourer et à apprécier.

For a really special occasion, this is fine dining that will blow your socks off. They offer the kind of discrete and attentive service of imaginatively presented dishes that clearly comes from a staff who take their profession seriously. The atmosphere is friendly, the decor impeccable and there's a comfortable little side bar where you can take an aperitif before going to your table. The price reflects the level of refinement.
Superb location, food individually prepared and delicious. service was excellent and freindly. We had the prepared menu for lunch, and the surprise menu for dinner. have to say steak at lunch was to die for and the surprise was very much a delightful one and is recommended. the wine pairings also complimented the food and corse to perfection.as you can tell I hope we had a great time and will be repeat users.
Beau et long déjeuner de Noël, commençant à 13 heures et terminé vers 17 heures ! De nombreux plats de bonne nourriture et de bon vin pour compléter chacun. Je le recommande vivement pour une journée de Noël relaxante avec une excellente cuisine dans un cadre charmant.

We were taken to lunch at Le Manoir by friends who have a house nearby. I just thought I would endorse the many five point ratings already posted by others. the filet de boeuf was really excellent and the presentation beautiful.
