I would give this place zero stars if I could. It was the worst experience I've ever had! We waited over 10 minutes, during which we were only served water, when suddenly a staff member came over to inform us that he had mistakenly seated us at a reserved table and asked us to leave without further explanation. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we had to endure the restaurant’s mistake and be treated this way. They didn’t apologize or offer any explanation—just told us to go. This is no way to treat customers! What happened was not our fault, and we certainly shouldn't have been treated like that. We left the restaurant in shock. I will not be returning!
I would give 0 star it that's an option. Worst experience ever! Finally tried this place with group of my best friends, and was really impressed! I don't dine in often anymore, but wow what a neat experience! We had a traditional table where you take off shoes. We had US beef omakase and everything was amazing. Almostall the meat cuts were tender and juicy. Fried rice was delicious! Least favorite dish was short rib covered in onion, bc youonly cook 1 side, and it wasn't so tender. Price was fair for the quality. Will definitely try to make it back for date night!Minus 1 star due to the parking...it's definitely one of the busiest parking lots I know.
This is the Costa Mesa outlet of Manpuku Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant. Most of the beef are USDA Prime or American Wagyu type cuts. They did offer 3.5 oz Grade A5 chuck steak sliced to 6 pieces at $68. We ordered quite a variety of cuts including tongue, skirt steak, hanger steak, ribeye, etc. Their butter fried rice was a bit small to share but was quite good. Kimchi sample is also good but a bit pricy. They give you a free ice cream plate for your birthday. Parking is quite limited on this popular strip mall due to other quite popular restaurants, tea shops and bar inside.

I strongly believe that the manager was being rude to me and the tipping policy was manipulated by the restaurant. If the service is adequate then the customer can give the waiter a good tip. Noone is obligated to give 18 percent if they don't feellike it. It's not the law. This manager was acting unprofessional and beyond stupidity. I wouldn't recommend this place toanyone alive.
Always an enjoyable experience, i take my parents atleast 1-2 times a month, we usually get the kobe Course comes with about 12 or so different premium items on the menu from kimichi, salad, edamame, kobe/wagyu meats, shrimp and rice including dessert. Menu is available online and seating would be best resevered, call ahead, limited seating.
This is the best food I've ever experienced! I've seldom encountered flavors like these. If possible, I would go back right now. The lychee ice cream is the most exquisite dessert I've ever enjoyed. We will absolutely be coming back. Food: 5/5
I liked it but not enough to fight the line or the parking lot to eat at. I enjoyed the meat here but I feel like there are other places I would prefer to eat at with less stress and less waiting.

All the meats are fantastic! But the mushrooms are not good for grilling, because the temperature of the grill is too hot for vegetables. Will come back for sure!
The meat served here is really good. The cuts are well marveled and very tender.
