"Hard to get to , inside a Convention center, great service by staff, nice view of the Muelle. Plates were small and ordinary but i recommend the Octopus with beans."

We came here for lunch today. I’ve always wanted to eat at this restaurant it was a good choice. I ordered the fish of the day, which was Seabass. I was disappointed that the texture of the fish was a little chewy. I wish it had been more flaky, like Seabass should be, when it’s not overcooked. The flavor was delicious though, with a mild cream sauce the crust was perfect. The dish was accompanied with mouthwatering potatoes asparagus. I ate my entire meal. Delicious bread was served before our entrées arrived. The service could’ve not been more prompt, professional, welcoming courteous. This restaurant is located on the water (The bay of Cartagena) and it has terrific views of some of the most iconic structures of Cartagena; Monumento Torre del Reloj, Iglesia de San Pedro Claver, Muelle de los Pegasos the rooftop of Catedral de Santa Catalina de Alejandría. I would definitely return here, because of all of the positives. But, there’s better food elsewhere in Cartagena. Had my fish not been overcooked, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars.
We had initially been very excited to visit Marea because we heard it was another project of the Rausch brothers, however when we got there, we realized that it had been sold and was no longer under them. The food took forever to arrive and the portions were tiny. The taste was very average at most. Very overpriced for the quality and size of the dishes.
Place is in a nice location,hard to find,but stay away. Got food poison from the small lobster tail. it has been 5 days of suffering. Had to go to the hospital when we got back to Medellin. Yes we called them,but what is that going to do. On a side note the waiter was good and nice.
