We made a reservation after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. The location and atmosphere is brilliant. Vejer is quite crowded in the summer, so this restaurant is great if you want to avoid crowded areas. The staff was very helpful and professional, but we had hoped for more from the kitchen. We ordered the ajo blanco and tartar for starters and the entrecot as a main dish. The tartar was bland, lacking flavor and the steak was TOUGH. All this at quite a cost, which would have been ok if the food had been good. Sad to say but we were quite disappointed since the reviews we read were so good. Just not worth the price.
Te pondré 4* porque tuvimos una buena cena. pero tienen que mejorar la agilidad en la cocina y la terraza. Comenzamos pronto y las entradas son buenas, a buen ritmo. Pedimos varias cosas que probar. rápido y bien. Pero el principal tomó más de 20 minutos. No tuvimos prisa, pero nos dijeron que la cocina es pequeña, que estaba arriba y no se rindieron. Las mesas que vinieron después, se estaban moviendo lentamente. Es una pena porque la comida está bien. 78€ dos adultos y dos niños.
A real show! Virginia is an artist and is noticed in so many dishes. Don't discard the rations and take advantage of trying out a bit of everything. I recommend the tuna cake and avocado, the crunchy lobsters with peanut sauce and, of course, the huesitos cake. Very surprised.
La comida está buena, pero tp es nada excepcional. Nos resultó caro para lo que comimos. La chica q nos cogió la comanda fue muy amable y atenta. El local es una casa del pueblo hecha restaurante la cual no han decorado y ni tan siquiera han reformado los baños.

Was a bit disappointed when we walked in to be the only people in the restaurant, but we were early in the evening. This was soon made up for with excellent service and varied and well presented dishes. Happy to give it the full 5*
We have dinner with a wonderful atmosphere, good background music and a very good meal. perfect night. the place is very cozy. the dishes are very well presented. All we ate was very good.The dessert torrija is crazy. to repeat.
super recommended site. If you're about to vejer, barbarity or zahara you can't miss coming to marengo. It's all very rich, all very nice and virginia has an impressive talent. The spectacular tuna cake!
Amazing food served by friendly staff. We took the menu which gives outstanding quality for a more than fair price. A must do in Vejer !
