Marfil Bistro - Réservation de table

The Corvina was perfect! Such a solid dish all around! The capellini al olio and spinach went great with it, and the lemon butter sauce was excellent. The outdoor seating area was very comfortable, and the clear roll-down blinds helped block the wind. The kids penne with bolognese sauce was really good and my daughter ate her fill. The grilled octopus was super tender and very tasty. Service from Rolando was prompt, courteous, and professional. We want to come back and next time with larger appetites.

This restaurant is generally good, but on Mother's Day it took 20 minutes to seat us even though we had a reservation and there were many open tables. They placed us in a back room without windows, which felt cramped. We had to request to be moved to the front, where there was more space. The food was delicious, but the menu options were limited for the occasion and the prices were higher than anticipated. This was not our first visit to Marfil.

Overall ok. Mushroom Risotto was the star of the night. Steaks had to be sent back. One was over cooked, when brought back the second time, the inside wasn’t warm. That steak wasn’t eaten. The other steak was undercooked, sent back, and still wasn’t the right temp when it got back to the table. Besides the cooking temp issue, the steak was under seasoned and had no flavor. Outside of the steak issue, everything else was fine.

I was disappointed with the quality of the seafood at this restaurant. The "sea bass" and other fish dishes seemed to be frozen and pre-processed, lacking in taste and texture. It felt like they were mass-produced and not fresh. For the high price they charge, I expected better quality seafood. Despite good appetizers and excellent service, the overall food quality was lacking and I won't be returning. Réservez une table maintenant

This is my third visit to this restaurant in Doral, and it used to be a go-to option for me. However, I am now unsure if I will return.
