The food here is generally good, especially if they toast your bread, though it can vary depending on the cook. I've tried their chicken cheesesteak, regular cheesesteak, and pizza, and I've enjoyed them all. Most of the staff are friendly and pleasant. You can dine in, but be aware that during the week, there's usually a noisy group of unruly high school students hanging out, which can be a bit bothersome. Overall, the food is worth it!
Placed an order through the restaurant website to be delivered to hotel late at night. Delivery driver was very prompt, even about 15 minutes earlier than their estimated time and he communicated well. The supreme pizza was absolutely incredible- fresh, homemade, hearty Italian pizza! Best we have had in a LONG time! 5/5 for service, quality and taste, and ease of ordering! Highly recommend for pizza delivery!
Update: I went back and tried the gyro and a 12-inch Italian cold cut sub. The gyro was loaded with thick, nicely charred slices of meat, although I found it a bit underseasoned. The Italian cold cut sub was massive (I included a picture for scale) and absolutely delicious. I adored the bread, the filling, and the spiciness—it was my favorite dish I've had from Maria D's so far!
I had a delicious cheesesteak served on pita bread. It wasn't overly salty, which is a nice change from what you often find at some sub shops. The flavor was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it. The fries topped with bacon and cheese exceeded my expectations—they were much better than I anticipated. I visited Maria D's Sub Shop for the first time and tried their cheesesteak along with curly fries. Both were excellent—the cheesesteak was spot on, and the curly fries were just as good. The staff was super friendly too. I highly recommend giving this place a try, especially if you're in the Light Street area. You won't be disappointed!
This place late night hits different. They say when you drink the food you eat taste better. Well that’s for damn sure. This place smacks at 2am! Great pizza and sandwiches. If you go late night especially weekends, make sure you order ahead. Place gets crazy at night.
The service was good, and the food was tasty. However, I could do without the loud and disrespectful young patrons. It seems that money takes precedence over customer service here. This is why I chose to highlight this place in my news segment.
I ordered a 12 Supreme pizza and zucchini that came with marinara. Pizza was seasoned well, dough was light and properly sauced. I definitely recommend this place . Réservez une table maintenant
Food is good but do not take online orders from homes that's less than 15 minutes away. I was right near little Italy and they canceled my order.
