Marina Sunset Bar - Réservation de table

There are some venues that take for granted that they will always have business based on their location. This seems to be exactly the case for the Sunset Bar.The food here is average but we organised a finction here because of the location, so it's not fantastic food but we were willing to accept this and had a good number of people (~33). Beyond disappointed. I had tried to reserve an area for a few hours this February 2017 back in October 2016 for a hens celebration. I was told both sections were available. They didn't respond to my last email in October but as it was approaching the Christmas season I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Imagine my surprise when I confirm with them regarding our reservation that the place is now "completely booked" & they could not give me an explanation as to why my previous email in October was not responded too. Looked like it was the place to be on Saturday night. We dropped in on the way to our restaurant, as the latter didn't open for about half an hour. Sizeable crowd, but the staff were quick to serve everyone, and they just didn't stop. Looked like they had a few interesting cocktails on the board that would be worth a try. They also have an outside area overlooking the marina itself, if not in the main bar.

I just want to thank Brett and the Sunset bar staff for being so accommodating on my B-day. I had a group of about 40 people going on a private cruise to celebrate my B-day. Due to bad weather it was cancelled. However, the Sunset Bar accommodated us in a very short notice. Service was great, location was good and they even played some latin music for us! Very slow to bring out food and staff were very rude when we asked them for service. They seemed overwhelmed because we had a large group of people but we booked well in advance. Pizza was soggy and they left the dirty plates for ages, until we stacked them ourselves. We will not go back here again and definitely not with the current staff.

Not a place to eat. The food was overpriced for quality. My pizza was gluten free which added to price, and it was small and the base had been burnt. The chips and popcorn chicken were cold and average and the burger my boyfriend had was also cold. Disappointing

Food cold and took ages to come out. We were sitting for a long time without even the drink orders out and then they told us we should have gone to the bar ourselves to ask for them! Staff had attitude. Was not happy and we ended up leaving early. Réservez une table maintenant

Enjoyed lunch and drinks here, sat out on the balcony overlooking Glenelg Beach. The meals were lovely and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would go back there.

Location is lovely, was great to see the sunset yet that didn't cut it. Cocktails were weak and over priced. Pizza small for the price you pay and way too much cheese.
