So many thing are great about this place but one thing seems to Jack up the whole experience over and over lately. First the good. The food is excellent and of very good quality. The staff is courteous and friendly. The decor is beautiful, especially the bar. The prices are reasonable. So what's not to like? Kitchen expedition. Kitchen expedition is a vital part of kitchen management. It is the effort and timing of getting food out while it's hot, in a reasonable time, serving all table guests at once and spacing timing of courses correctly. Marino’s Italian restaurant is basically hidden in a strip mall off Peakview Drive in Littleton, CO, in a local neighborhood. If I happen to live in this Woodmar Plaza neighborhood, I would be a regular patron and hanging with Tracy and her daughter, Lauren, at the bar enjoying all the Italian drinks. On July 13, 2023, I visited this restaurant with some friends who were very excited for me to try it. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff, there were delays in taking our food order, we received our food before our silverware, and our bill was incorrect. Although my friends were understanding, I expected better service from a higher-end establishment with prices to match. The food was decent, ranging from 3 to 4 stars depending on what you ordered, but the prices were high for the quality we received. The service was subpar, earning a 2-star rating. What a delightful surprise! We had heard about Marino's several times and finally decided to give it a try. From the ambiance to the food to the staff, it quickly became a new favorite. The food was made with fresh ingredients and prepared perfectly. Our server, Tracy, was fantastic - she made us feel like family. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a cozy, family-like atmosphere. A little conflicted. I can see the potential and I thought the food was good! But my pasta, the spinach and sausage gnocchi was a tad bland if I'm honest. The gnocchi seemed freshly made which was nice just lacked a little flavor. The garlic cheese bread appetizer was good and the margarita pizza was really good! I got the fried dough balls with Nutella which was all pretty good! I think I would stick with the pizza or probably try a calzone next time. Will go back for sure to try again.
This place is an absolute gem! We live down the street and it is by far our favorite spot. The mussels are to die for! All of the pizza is absolutely mouth watering. I’m obsessed with the marinara. I tell everyone I take there it is so good you could drink it . The flavor you get with any of this food is unbelievable! You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Drink wise you have to have the Italian mule with the homemade limoncello OH MY GOODNESS love love love this.
The pizza is amazing! I’m a fan of crunchy crust so it was perfect. We ordered the margherita, lotronese, garlic bread, and kids cheese. All of our food was so flavorful! The topping are high quality. Everything tasted fresh and so delicious. My favorite may have been the balsamic I ordered to dip the crust. We will absolutely be back to enjoy more amazing Italian food.

Great pizza from a local family restaurant. My daughter and I stumbled on this gem 7 years ago and have never been disappointed. Every trip back to Colorado includes a visit to see Marino and enjoy a great meal. Wonderful pizzas made from the best ingredients. An absolute must if you like authentic Italian pizza.
