Mario's Pizzeria is hands down the best in South Nassau! Throughout the pandemic, they took excellent care of us and always greeted us with a smile. You really can’t go wrong with any dish you choose. Their whole wheat pizza is absolutely fantastic! For my birthday, they sent me a coupon for a free personalized pan pizza, which was incredible and easily enough to feed four people. The slices were generous and loaded with cheese. It totally surpasses my memories of Pizzeria Uno. Their calzones are classic old-school Brooklyn style—hearty, filling, and made with top-quality ingredients. I tried the buffalo and Marsala slices at Mario's Pizzeria and was thoroughly disappointed. I usually go to Umberto's or Gino's, but decided to give this place a shot. The Marsala slice tasted like old gravy and was completely flavorless. As you can see from the photo, the toppings were so loose I could easily scrape them off, which was really off-putting. I won’t be coming back—what they’re serving here can’t even be called edible, let alone pizza. After living on Long Island for 40 years, I know bad pizza when I taste it, and this was definitely it. Such a letdown.
There are plenty of excellent pizzerias on Long Island, but this is not one of them. I accidentally ordered from here and will be more cautious next time. My pizza was strangely both undercooked and burnt. What was supposed to be a pepperoni wheel was actually more like a ham and cheese roll. All the pepperoni, both on the pizza and in the wheel, was cold and uncooked. I could say more, but I'm too disappointed and upset.
I was let down by the change from baked zucchini sticks to broken zucchini sticks. The broken ones were flavorless and soggy, making me reluctant to order them again. However, the Greek salad was excellent and delicious, as always. The tomato sauce on the eggplant was a bit too salty for my liking, but the meatball was good, just as I expected.

Grandma's pizza was to die for, as always. You can't complete a family meal without ordering the fried dough for dessert. Customer service was top notch. The drinks were cold and there wasn't much of a wait for fresh pizza. Would definitly recommend and can't wait to go back!
The restaurant boasts a clean and attractive indoor dining environment, with additional outdoor seating options. The pizzas are delectable, and the stuffed pizzas are especially outstanding. The staff is friendly and inviting.
The food at Mario's Pizzeria is incredible! The atmosphere is charming, and the owners are extremely welcoming.
