Thank God for late lunches in Spain. Forgot to eat more than a croissant and cafè con leche in Barcelona and by 2:30 we were starving. A quick search of Tripadvisor pulled three cafés still open, we took our chances and ended up wanting to stay the night. In our best/poor Californian Mexican/Spanish we relayed our wishes for a quick lunch but Eduard Ballera, the owner, would have none of that nonsense. We were seated in the rear dining room just in front of their beautiful and impressive wood fired stove and immediately were consumed by the aroma of the special that day, wood fired/braised Lamb Shoulder. Fantástico sitio de referencia en Lleida, su trato familiar, servicio exquisito y comida maravillosa, sin duda merece la pena ir a comer allí. Yo cuando visito la ciudad no me lo pierdo, mariscos, pescado y ternasco son muy recomendables.
El menja sta be, pero hi ha alguna cosa en el tracte q no ens va agradar, s,hi pot anar despres d tot tenen una trajectoria i un prestigi, a vegades en els detalls hi ha la diferencia.
